Thanks for sharing! We got the POCO too and are disappointed it doesn’t fit our R5C and A7S3 cages too. Fortunately Meike has got a new PL to RF adapter now and the original filters fit :)

We have question about this video. we are unsure if the tested lenses have the same focal length and iris. Did even use the same lens? We reserve our opinion on this. We have started to arrange a comprehensive test and will send the test data to everyone. Also, thanks for correcting the question about the cage.It depends on the design of the cage. Some cages do not work, but there are still some cages that fit well.We are currently using A7s3 and Komodo and the cage works fine.

Do your tests under natural light. The colour card didn't have a shift, only the skin tones black clothes.

for the one tray setup, were both the circular and linear polarizers from Revar Cine. Robert Machado's video did not seem to display as much color shift.

I have seen many footage with IR pollution when I owned the URSA mini (then I brought a Hoya IR cut filter and it totally solved the problem), usually the black fabric shifts towards magenta, but everything else was less affected. And your footage looks more like an overall warmer color cast rather than IR pollution to me honestly.

Some vendors are horrible as far as lens support. Kondor Blue is another example, I asked them and they bought the cheapest PL adapter and based their design on it. Fortunately you can use washers to get to the proper height. Only Small Rig gets it right, they have slots in the bracket to adjust for different heights.

Kondor Blue is another of those lego style cages. FYI because it was a nice surprize.

Kondor Blue is a horrible design. If you use their cage, you cannot use anything else. For example, if you use their baseplate, you cannot use the RED wing grip. And their lens support is horrible, they assumed all PL adapters are the same height.

@@FelixCervantes I am literally working on my komodo build and the Kondor base is amazing. I have the wooden nato sides. On top the modern film horseshoe I/O. The base allows me to add the smallrig arca extended base for the RS3 pro in various positions. The sides has mounting points which I'm using to create attaching points for an SDI to hdmi converter and for tentacle on the other side. Corr plate at the back and this is the most modular system which takes advantage of all the surface of the komodo. For the lens adapter all it takes is 1-2 washers. I have the t cine metabobes and with 1 stainless washer it worked great - it has slot holes so it can be adjusted up and down a bit to meet the leg of the adapter. The sides are a bit crowded IF you don't need that. Hence I got wooden, but it was also to reduce the weight of the sides. The top rail is not bad, the bubble is useful but a more modular system with a screw in bubble would've been better. I'm not sure how the wing grip attaches but it sounds wrong, you should be able to attach it, it's like the wooden rail but bending outwards.

thank god I saw this Video before buying, as I have a foldable cage but a cage nonetheless and I don't want to be taking it off every time to put the filter in. Bit of a serious oversight and SUCH a shame as I love the concept of this system compared to having the ND on the end of the Lens. Nevermind, maybe v2 will fix this issue for people with permanent cages. Great Video and I enjoy your humour and delivery so have subscribed.

I backed the project, the support foot issue could be fixed by making a few versions, it would mean they have to test a few cages.

The foot issue isn't a problem, a lot of PL adapters have the incorrect mount lock for a camera/cage combo. you can buy additional ones with different screw configurations as well for $19.99 on amazon.

How does the Clear Filter and the Vari ND affect the sharpness of the footage? As I understand the clear filter is a Lenselement, right? How does it affect the image?

definite IR pollution & color shift, very severe and very noticeable in the sony footage. My black jacket turns rusty red and gets worse and worse with each change of the filter. That is IR pollution. everything else happening to the image is color shift, also a sign of cheap ND
