Thanks for the informative video. I was actually finding some comparisons between these two and have made up my mind on the 5s. I was wondering though how’s the boom mic fare for recording videos via your phone when its mounted to the helmet? Thanks!

I've owned a SMH5 for over three years but because of water filtration after so many years, I'm looking for a new unit. I only use it for music, taking calls and connecting to my girlfriends SMH5. Would you recommend this Sena 5S over a Cardo unit?

Cardo with MESH is a better unit. Sena is better for me because it get the job done at a fraction of the price. If u ride lots with groups go cardo (unless they all have another brand. Best to all have same brand for connection) If you want a bang for your buck…. Go sena

Nice video, do we have option to connect Sena 5s more the 2 intercoms, i means 4 of us have 5s, but not able to connect all at time, can we connect 4 at a time ?

So you can connect three at a time and only two people can have an active convo. A note it’s almost impossible to connect with cardo comms if you have more friends with cardo just buy cardo.

I have this Sena but still in doubt if i can use it in rain or not, any idea what to do?

I rode mine in heavy rain last week. Held up well. I have riden it in rain several times and no issues. I think they just don’t want to claim waterproof just in case.

Yes you can. It works with most major brands. I often connect it to cardo comms that my friends have.
