The population of all of these three country's have been used and sacrificed for the agenda of israel Wars are not a good measurement for friendship between people. Canadians are extremely polite and eager to help out and befriend other people, regardless if a person lives south of the border in America or up north in Canada, they are friends. @@alainberlaty1394 Indeed. Almost every battle fought by Canadians in modern history, their troops showed exemplary teamwork, discipline, and capability. The US's advantage typically amounts to our budget and how rowdy and diverse we are. As much as the left hates to admit it, there are differences between the races - which in the military is notable because certain ethnicities are more resistant to certain climates, as well as building different muscles better. Canada, throughout its history has typically mobilized small but professional armies, which were adept at rough terrain. Same. As an American from a state that borders Canada, I must confess that I actually like "O Canada" better than "The Star-Spangled Banner." I wish that "America the Beautiful" was our national anthem instead. Hearing that song makes me feel so much more pride in being an American than a pompous, jingoistic song about an obscure battle in a B-list war over two centuries ago.
@Mr.GigaChad Жыл бұрын
@@hotwax9376 The history behind "The Star-Spangled Banner" is that a British fleet admiral stated that they would stop firing on a US fort when the flag was taken down. Again and again they fired throughout the night, but again and again when the flag was hit by cannon fire, it was stabilized. The reason: The very bodies of dead United States soldier's were at the base, the dead and the dying keeping that very flag pole standing. When I learned this, it is what gave truest meaning to the Star Spangled Banner. I hope it may do the same for others.
@hotwax9376 Жыл бұрын
@@Mr.GigaChad If true, that's a great story, but it's still about an obscure battle in an equally obscure war that nobody alive today remembers firsthand. And I feel like a national anthem should be about more than a country's flag or a single episode of its history. It should be about the country itself because countries are greater than the sum of their parts.
@Mr.GigaChad Жыл бұрын
@@hotwax9376 It IS about that.
@hotwax9376 Жыл бұрын
@@Mr.GigaChad No, it's about a single historical event related to the American flag. And I don't think that either the flag or the Battle of Fort McHenry by itself represents America because you can't reduce any country to its flag or a single battle in its history.

IKR we’ve got people here just kneeling
@paru-chinbaka52144 жыл бұрын
I would argue that expressing your first amendment right through protest is one of the most patriotic things you can do. The act of kneeling came from talking to a veteran, who suggested how one could peacefully protest without disrespecting the flag. When Washington and Jefferson say something wrong with the country they did something about it. When Riis saw how prevalent child labour was in the 20s, he did something about it. These people never meekly sat around. Though I disagree with many of the things (both anti lockdown and BLM) protesters have stood for this year, in this country where there is a 19% sentencing disparity between offenders of different races for the same crime www.ussc.gov/research/research-reports/demographic-differences-sentencing , where government policies have caused millions to grow up in houses that poison them with lead over the course of their lives www.google.com/amp/s/amp.dw.com/en/lead-poisoning-reveals-environmental-racism-in-the-us/a-53335395 www.thisamericanlife.org/512/house-rules , where certain races are more likely to get hired than others (even with the same resume/record) www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3583356/ and kills more people via police than most wealthy democracies, yeah, I think people have a right to kneel. Just like people can protest the evictions that started happening in spring -- in the middle of a pandemic. www.cfr.org/backgrounder/how-police-compare-different-democracies
