Good video, but all you are removing is the protective film the factory installs on the front cap of the RV. That is not clear coat. Your clear coat is in good shape under the Diamond Shield paint protector. Just a tip … carefully use a heat gun, and the Diamond Shield will come off without any chemicals or mess. Less mess and not quite as much scraping. Thank you for your service, Sir! God bless! 😎🇺🇸

I would have been frightened to do it as it would be my luck to remove everything down to the metal!! Will this work do you think on a vehicle that is not fiberglass in the same way? I would sure like to see you get a hood from the junk yard and shoot another video showing how well it works on your motor home and then how it can work on an old junk car showing the results for us scaredy cats! A woodworker, stripping paint from a table, used what looked like saran wrap to cover the stripper to keep it from drying out but he was removing several layers of paint.

Thanks for your service - I'm also a vet (US Navy 1963 -1966) Question - you mentioned high humidity - here in Kansas we are going through a long drought period, with occasional thunderstorms similar to type 1 hurricane. Tilex Mold & Mildew will get rid of the black mildew. Spray it on, leave it in At least 15 mins. May need to do again. Works great.

I think it’s great to remove that old clear material used to preserve the front. Over time it’s looks like yours. But it’s not clearcoat because that still remains will that product just melts off that old plastic clear bra. But it’s great product because that is really hard to get off. Once you get it all off buff finish with compound and wax it paint and factory clearcoat should look like new

Hi Steve , I tried the same product ( stripper ) however I didn’t get as fortunate as you , I believe your tip to ONLY leave ( citrus stripper)on a short time was wise from my prior experience with this stripper. I believe I will have to go a different route ( sand some then respray the base colour then more clear coat . Blessing Sir Timmy Llanes

That isn't clear coat. All Holiday Ramblers, Monaco and Safari had 3M paint paint protection film applied to them. It's much better to use non marring scrapers or old credit or gift cards to remove the adhesive after you scrape off the film. The clean strip brand can affect your paint and clear coat under the film.

I don't think that is painted clear coat, it's a clear vinyl designed to protect paint against stone chips etc. They harden over time, get cracked and discolored. It won't likely have the same effect on automotive clear coat.

You are removing stone chip guard that’s there from the factory, I agree it’s horrendous I would do the same but you need to recoat it otherwise that piece will be weak
