Yes, "ripe for harvest" IS the word! I have always prayed the Lord will send me to those who are truly ripe for harvest! Our Lord Jesus did say the harvest is plentiful and we should pray that the Lord of harvest to send labourers into the field. (Mat 9:38) "Here am I, send me,..."

It goes to show that no one receives the gospel unless the Father draws them to Christ and His Cross where He died for us sinners. This lady received the gospel because God drew her heart to Christ and granted her godly sorrow which produced true repentance leading to her salvation. It is all the work of God. Eph 2:8-9

And another way to look at it is like the 99 have already come to Christ and have that relationship with Him, but the one who is still lost, but then is found brings upon a big celebration in heaven moreso because that one lost sheep has now been found! They have eyes to see just how good He is! Heaven gained a new one and that is worth of His praise because the other 99 are already following, but when the one that was lost finally repents and turns away from sin and turns towards Jesus brings great joy!

That is until we too repented & felt the love of Jesus which changed our lives! I kind of felt at the beginning that Ray was wasting his time and she was just nodding and agreeing for the sake of it. It just goes to show that even when we think the person isn’t taking it seriously or listening properly, we need to press on in the belief that The Spirit is working, and not be put off or cut it short. This young lady needed to hear it all and the truth penetrated her being. Stick in there and keep going is the message I got from this.

@@ifthatthenthis3797 I don’t know if your statement is correct or not. I’m not claiming to know what God does, or why he does what he does. Since I believe that God has given us the freedom of choice, I believe he gives us complete freedom of choice on all things. Maybe though he does do what you say, I on the other hand think it’s the choice of all whether or not their heart is opened or closed. As Paul said in 1 Timothy, The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. In my opinion that statement means that those people have the choice, either they have the choice to be influenced by evil to close their hearts, or they have the choice to let the Holy Spirit influence and open their hearts.

It is the work of the Holy Spirit in the sinners heart to open his, her, heart to the gospel of Christ to come to Jesus for forgiveness of sins and salvation. Your choice and your supposed free will had nothing to do with it. By grace we are saved through faith and that not of ourselves it is the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. Grace we don't deserve it, faith is a gift Romans 12:3, so is Salvation, we don't get saved because we made a choice for God. No unregenerate sinner seeks after God. Rom 3:10-18. Please if you are a child of God don't boast about your choice or your free will. Boast in Christ, His Cross, His resurrection, His gospel, His grace, His gift of faith to you, and Him saving your soul because of His mercy, not because of your choice and your free will. Only God has a truly free will because He is Holy. You and I are not, our choices and our free will, were slaves to sin before Christ saved us, all our righteousness is as filthy rags in the eyes of God. Isaiah 64:6.

I was saved 2 years ago. I’m just so happy i get to be saved this young into my life, i’m not even in high school yet, i feel like i have to give my life to jesus. I prayed for them both and will continue to. Fortunately my sister is born again though her hubby is not. He’s not against her being into Jesus or my nieces going to church. He was turned off during his formative years by his Catholic mother. It says in the Bible that if one spouse is saved (I’m paraphrasing) and the other one is not, the one that is not is sanctified by the one that is, because when a husband and wife are married they become one flesh. I do not know if that literally means the one that isn’t saved will go to Heaven, but some people much smarter than me about the Bible think it does mean that. ❤😇

I took piano lessons in 1967 at this jr. college. God bless you for your ministry, Ray. Many people, including catholics, are told not to read the Holy Bible, that they'll just let the priests and nuns and pope and vatican (rewritten Bible) tell them what to do. Really sad. Hubby works in the heat and just wants rest when he is home, which is ok with me as he isn't getting any younger, but we watch good preachers together. There is no mention in God's Word of a place called purgatory where the dead wait for the living on earth to pray them out of it so they can get into Heaven. Lord Jesus Christ's death on the cross is SUFFICIENT for our salvation. Limbo for unbaptized babies is a lie. Works don't get you into Heaven, you can't buy your way into Heaven by giving the RCC money for indulgences. Jesus did not fail on His Cross as Jorge Bergoglio proclaimed, among his other blasphemies. God said nations should have borders. We don't need to confess our sins to another human being, i.e. priest - that's why God sent us His Son, our Saviour, Yeshua Ha'Mashiach. 1 Timothy 2:5 "There is only one God and one mediator between God and men - the man Jesus Christ.' There's only one type sin, not three. Transsubstantiation is a complete lie. The RCC teaches that the priests (bishops, etc) have the power to call Christ Jesus down from heaven and place Himself into the round wafer and wine to be offered as a sacrifice over and over again.
