I grew up in a home where animals (and children) were horribly abused and often didn't survive. It hurts so much to see a kitty this badly treated, in this much distress. It does my heart good to know that there are people who care and help. My cats are rescues. I can't save the animals who suffered in my childhood, but I can do right by my cats now, and boy, do I ever.

Good evening. I hope that you will not mind me saying this. I am so sorry to hear that your childhood was so horrible. No child in a family should ever suffer such you have. In my observations of humanity ,I have often found that children who are in an abusive environment, often have the warmest of hearts when they become survivors of abuse. This warmth of heart ❤️ is very often given to our furry friends. It is obvious that you have great love ❤️ for your rescue ❤️ 😸 rescue kitties. Like you , it is heartwarming to me to know that there are people who care for our furry friends.

I find that animal abuse or death upsets me emotionally more then human suffering. This is especially true in the case of movies, TV etc For example a scene in Power Book Three involving the death of a dog upset me so badly that I was unable to watch that show, despite enjoying the rest of the Power franchise. The violence is for the most part " cartoon violence" , and something to watch as a break from reality. However the death of a dog was too much.

It always breaks my heart to see how wicked some people can be towards our animal friends 💔. I have witnessed this type of wickedness up close. My next door neighbour had a beautiful black kittie named Jinx. Jinx was shot with an air rifle through an eye and one pellet had shattered his jaw. It was so heartbreaking to see poor little Jinx 💔 like that. To now see poor little Thalia in such a state had brought tears to my eyes. Thank goodness there were some caring loving earth angels who rescued Thalia and nursed her back to health ❤❤❤❤❤. Then to see Thalia in her forever loving forever home brought me tears of joy. ❤❤❤❤❤❤. Thank you to everyone involved with bringing Thalia back from the brink and to find Thalia her forever home. ❤❤❤❤❤❤

It took us 2 years to finally rescue a cat that was terrified of people. She was having kittens out in the woods three times a year. We could never find them before they either died or turned feral. Finally I found her hiding place for one of her litters while they were still small. I picked them up and put them in my coat pockets. She was such a good mom. She followed me home and hearing her babies crying inside she found the courage to go in. She finished taking care of that litter and turned into a beautiful house cat. We had her spayed and found good homes for her babies. We had thought that she was feral but she was really just scared. Probably had been mistreated at some time and then abandoned. Don’t let anyone tell you that feral cats cannot be tamed. We have tamed many and found homes for them. They usually do best in quiet homes.

I’m so happy to see her coming out of that fear filled protective shell she had built. The only thing that will ever help an animal recover from that kind of abuse is time and constant love. She’s definitely a firm example of what the saying, “love cures all” means. The love that you and her forever father gave her saved her life and that’s the greatest gift we can give. It’s also amazing the kind of love they give in return once that shell is broken and they recognize what love can be. All animals are capable of love, but the love from one that’s been where she has been is so deep that it amazes me.
