Wisconsin woman Lori Ann Phillips faces trial for her husband’s death after he was found dead outside their La Crosse home in February 2019. Prosecutors allege Phillips killed her husband, Mark Phillips, during an argument after returning home from a night of drinking. The criminal complaint said Lori abruptly drove off during an argument when her husband approached the driver’s side of her car. She claims when she returned home, he was not in their home. The next day, she found him dead, lying in a snowbank in their driveway.

The purpose of cameras in the court is not to entertain people like you on youtube. They are there to record the proceedings. While people like you may view trials as edited TV shows, they are not. The law does not give you a right to watch trials on KZbin.

Between the missing opening statement and the audio issues, I have a massive freaking headache and almost turned it off until I realized I may be watching yet another innocent defendant fighting for their life, so I'll probably watch to the end. Hopefully I'm wrong about her being innocent, but so far, she's looking even more Innocent than Karen Read!! 🤬

This is the exact same case as the Karen Read case in Massachusetts….almost identical situation, drinking….fighting that night…..Snow on the ground….she leaves…he’s found dead in a snow bank the next morning…..I bet the attorneys for Karen Read are watching this trial very closely!

Whether she knew she hit him or not, she didn’t seem to give a rats when she found him dead, very insincere response IMO.

It’s because Law and Crime doesn’t have their audio feed figured out yet….there is a separate microphone that sends the audio directly to the L&C video feed and they don’t have it set correctly…..that microphone we all see is only for the court reporter technically…..

A lot of WI & FL cases. Why did it take so long for medics to get there? I know there’s road conditions. But was this a small town or did they have to go across a big city? Seems like it took about 10 minutes to get there. All they have on her is that she wouldn’t roll him over and do CPR and that they had an argument the night before?? Or do they have more?! I’m not familiar with this case at all. And it seems that when a case gets covered like this kind of case, the defendant is always guilty instead of presumed innocent when the media covers them. Even this channel when they do commentating. So it’s hard to get both perspectives.

For him to be on a snow mound, even if he was only just initially unconscious then died in the snow, she would had to have hit him with the front of her vehicle (or reversing) - she would have known she hit him with the vehicle! No question! I can’t listen to this hideous audio so I have no idea what injuries he had, if any. He may have been blind drunk and passed out after chasing her for all I know, but she would have known she hit him with her vehicle IF he was in fact hit with the vehicle. The call to the dispatcher told me she knew she killed him or at least didn’t give a rats when she found him dead. Defense is showing a video of her running for her phone, assuming they’ll have video from the night before when the incident happened, we shall see 🤷🏻‍♀️
