Yeah I have 4C hair that is ridiculously dense at the front of my head so I wash my hair in small single plaits to prevent tangles. Yes I have to detangle and switch up my parting but I it actually saves me time versus the alternative because the hair is in a smooth curled hold so a comb/brush goes through it like butter. I no longer have a bunch of breakage when combing through the whole afro after a wash. So I basically wash my hair as if it's in box braids now.

It looks like your hair might be normal to low porosity like me, I recommend putting on leave in conditioner right after deep conditioner while in the shower or put a cap on it for 5-10 mins. Best feeling everrrrr

Hey Koby, if you want your fro to stand up more on the sides of your head then come back with a root lifter or some more gel or hairspray to prop up your hair , that way this technique will give you the most flexibility to make your hair stand up more or have volume exactly where you want it. About the "camera perspective face thingy," (I don't know what you call it) You're right on a lot of points. But technically, a camera that takes a picture of someone's face shows an accurate depiction of that face. The reason why it can look weird is that some cameras (like an iPhone or Android camera) show a mirrored version of the photo prior to taking it, and sometimes, even after taking the photo. It most likely comes from us being so used to looking at a mirrored version of our face in the mirror, that when we see an unaltered, un-mirrored version of our faces, some things can look asymetrical, out of place, or just peculiar in general. Just wanted to clear up some misconceptions!
