This melted my heart. I’m still in a deep grief from tragic loss of my 10 year old mutt who we adopted as a puppy. His DNA test showed mostly Aussie and a mix with visla and bulldog. Our hearts are broken in a million pieces as the pain truly equals the love. This is the 1st time since he passed a month ago that I’ve been able to watch dog videos (it was a favorite activity of mine before). Thank you for being so in tuned with your pup and sharing your love far and wide on here. I hope one day we will see a pup and know it’s the one. For now, we keep waiting for a sign from Rosco that he is at peace and we can let go. Missing our sweet boy like crazy! Enjoy every second - even the naughty ones 🥰

Love it...brought back memories! I stepped out of the car at the farm where we got our Aussie, and the mother dog was snapping and barking at me, and my little guy came right up and jumped up on my leg. Of the six pups, one was too aggressive, two didn't want a thing to do with me, one was clueless, and the other two showed interest. My little guy almost failed my puppy aptitude test, as he snapped at me when I held him and rolled him over on his back. He quickly corrected himself and lay calm in my arms when he realized I wasn't playing or a threat. I thought to myself, "Smart dog." He is smart, has his quirks, is not perfect, but I love him!. Thanks for the video!!

I swear I’ve never seen 2 dogs look more alike than ours . The only difference is ours has one crystal blue eye and one green eye . You are an excellent trainer. Our dogs can do bang bang , take a bow and jump through a hula hoop. Bang bang is actually a several step process so for Frankie to be doing that at such a young age shows the intelligence he’s gonna have . I wish KZbin would allow us to share pics or videos in the comments section.

I didn’t buy my dog, never even planned on getting another dog, I had just lost my rescued Jack Russell terrier a year earlier to kidney failure, she was the best dog I ever had. Then this crazy puppy came to see me and that was it game over, one look in that one blue eye and I was a goner, he was wiggling out of her arms to get to me. I started babysit him while my niece was in school and he wouldn’t want to go home with her. Then one day she didn’t come to get him after school and I called her parents she was at a friends house. When she came home she told her parents she didn’t want him anymore, she was taking him to the shelter if I didn’t want him. Honestly it never fazed him it was like I’m home. Now it’s like this is what was meant to be, I wouldn’t have gotten another dog any other way. Now I’m with my furry best friend ever day. That’s our story.

I also had a Blue Merle "Big Mini" who weighed 45 pounds because he worked me all day for biscuits. LOL. He had one piercingly blue eye and one brown eye which is what I really wanted. He was maybe the most beautiful Aussie I have ever seen. His markings were exquisite. I'm so lucky to have had him for 15 wonderful years. I used to put my hand on my heart every time I would watch him sleeping. But I had to be super quiet because he would almost always open his blue eye if I so much as made a peep. He would then bolt to the kitchen expecting a biscuit for being just so damn adorable.

I've met my Aussie puppy 3 weeks ago, when she was just 2 days old (!), I entered the room, and there was that teeny tiny puppy making a HELL LOT OF NOISE. That was my Uki. When I arrived close to her, she immediately stopped making noise and wagged her little tail. Job was done, she had my attention. Next week I'll be going back to meet her again, she'll officially be 1 month and 3 days old. I've received a lot of pictures and videos from the breeder in the meantime but I. just. can't. wait. anymore!

Any tips or tricks to have your dog not be scared of being in a car ? I have a 1 yr old mini Aussie and she hates being in the car ever since 3months old. After being in the car for 10+ min ; she begins to drool and then ends up vomiting. Now whenever i take stuff out of the car and she is near by, she ends up running away either to the front door of the house or off to the yard. Hopefully she’s not traumatized .

I am half way through this video. All I have to say is, one day my friend, you are going to have the biggest heart break of your life. My dog of 11 years has been gone for 2 weeks now. Even though I’m married now with 2 kids, the house still feels empty. After the army while I was still a kid with no idea what responsibility was or how to raise myself let alone an animal I got my dog, she stuck with me through many rough times, and many great ones, loving a new girlfriend who became my wife, licking my daughter on the forehead when we brought her home from the hospital and 6 years after that she did the same for my son. She was their pony, teddy bear, blankie, and protector. At the end I had to help her onto the couch, and into the car, but she never ever whimpered or cried, she was tough, knowing a day and a time when u have to say goodbye to your best friend is the hardest thing I think I’ve had to do this far in my life. It actually makes me hesitant to get another dog. That being said, I am so happy for you, and for Frankie, truly amazing how you care for eachother. I look forward to watching more

40lb only sounds like a lot if you don't exercise your dog. I can tell from the way he catches a disc at distance that he's athletic so I'm assuming that he's low body fat. My standard aussie was 70lb back in his physical peak which is at the top end of the range for their expected weight, but he was physically smaller than a lot of the other aussies I've met. I used to run him dozens of miles every day with a long range driver for disc golf so he was very, very lean. I used to shave his fur in the summer and he was built like a jack russel terrier, just bigger. He's 13 now though and can't play fetch. I just got a mini aussie and I can't wait to train her to run but I'm going to be much more careful this time. I can see that you really care about your dog so you probably don't need this advice and also I doubt you'll see this, but maybe someone else will benefit from it: if you regularly exercise your dog (and you should, every day!) then start giving them with joint + bone supplements early, like 4 years old. Don't make the same mistake at me, my dog has a permanent injury from overworking. He's had a torn acl that I've been treating medically at the advice of a really good veterinary surgeon in my state. Lactoferrin is really, really good. It's the nutrient in colostrum that helps newborn babies build strong bones and connective tissue. Type 2 collagen is also really, really good and very affordable. Both Lactoferrin and type 2 collagen should be taken on an empty stomach (or with as little food as possible, none really is best) in the morning. You can also get glucosamine and chondroitin chews from most pet stores. In my opinion, I've listed them in order of efficacy

We fell in love the first time we met our girl. Its really my mom's doggie but she is shocking us everyday with how smart she is. Only thing that was terrifying was a few weeks ago when me and mom were laughing in the kitchen and she jumped on the counter to see what was going on. All four feet. Then she slipped. I caught her in mid air and she landed on top of me. She was at first scared and looked at the counter and then at me and started kissing me all over." Thank you Tiffy you saved my life. I could have died" so I have this 20 pound dog still laying on top of me. She finally got up and stood beside me while I got up. Well, I ended up fracturing a rib with the way I caught her and fell. Im 4'9 and 82 pounds. The counter hight is way above my waist. She caught me with her elbow. I didn't have time to think. I just knew I'd rather get hurt than her. She hasn't even tried to do it again. I think she scared herself enough without any discipline. She just sits or lays at our feet or she lays on her pillow when we are cooking. She is 7 months. We are having trouble with her coming now. She was sooo good but she's just started ignoring us. So it's back to basics. Stubborn pup. 🙄

let me tell you this: my first Aussie (because now I have 3) was taken from a breeder far from where I live, as soon as I got there the breeder showed us all the puppies available, they started to come to me and my husban slap our faces run around us....then my huband needed to use the toilet and asked the breeder if there was one..he started to walk towards the toilet and 1 of the puppies started following him, she sat outside the bathroom and waited for my husband to come out and followed him back to where I was..ok we said this is our choice..we have been thinking about the name of the puppy for all our travel and when we went inside the breeder's house to take documents of the dog the breeder told us "well her name is Star these are her documents"..well we could not believe the name we have been discussing during the travel was Stella (the Italian name 4 Star)..I think this was kind of a "universe message" that dog was planned for us!! now she is 9 years old and I am the happiest person on earth to live with her.
