Thank you HQ! I've been coaching at my affiliate for a few years and this is actually useful content posted by the media team for affiliates. In fact, the content posted during the last year or so has been a good mix of focus on education, highlighting everyday CF Athletes and Games coverage. We are getting back into form on the media side of things. Keep it up! :-)

From the description of the video... "Recently, Nicole Christensen (CF-L4) traveled to Ute CrossFit to be a guest coach, and our cameras were there to capture the action. Follow along in this video as she coaches a class from start to finish."

Some key coaching techniques from the L2 course seen there. With a careful eye you can see specific things she's doing in just the circle of squats. The L1 is great, but the L2 is so much better for the coaches.

I’m decent at scaling as-I-go but the coach can see more and save you from failure.
@mattfletcher77394 ай бұрын
Without knowing the relationship in the gym between this coach and athletes, tough to comment, but this does not appear to be an environment with much energy or members having the best hour in their day, possibly due to all the cameras. I would love to see a class being coached where at least some of the athletes have injuries and or mobility challenges that see the coach needing to improvise more movements. Compared to a general Population class, almost no one in this class needed movement modifications, sure scaling was done due to skill and strength levels, but no busted knees or shoulders in play, which in real life we deal with every day.

One thing that could also be really valuable is a AAR (after action review) at the end of the video with her evaluator. So they we can review what was supposed to happen, what happened, what went well, and what could be improved. Nicole is a master at her craft but I'm sure she's always looking for improvement and doing a review with us will help us as well learn as she would. I know it would be a long video but it's not like this isn't what we need to be doing in out affiliates.

This was excellent! Looks easy😊Yet it is sooo hard to coach a group and keep everything in synch. She was awesome coaching individual needs correcting the Overachievers and Underachievers ! This is what all affiliate classes should look like! And surprisingly she is at an hour 😮. Super impressive.

Instruction is rock solid but session very much feels like a level 1 / 2 seminar workout - definitely doesn't have regular coach that knows the clients vibes.

Completely agree, I was assuming she was a visiting coach but it’s almost too much attention per client. I’m missing the 3 word prompts where the coach knows just what reminders a regular needs.

This is awesome instruction but I'm not sure if this workout is worth the money that these members are paying a monthly fee for....I know this is just one day but gyms/coaches need to maximize the 60 minutes to best prepare their members for GPP.. I'm not sure if this makes sense but it's my opinion.
@TacticallyFitOfficial5 ай бұрын
If that’s the case I’d highly recommend going back through the Level 1 again. Keep CrossFit what it’s meant to be and the results will come. Be impressed by intensity not volume.
@castrodc125 ай бұрын
@@TacticallyFitOfficial I've been doing CrossFit since 2008 and I know that a 7-12 minute workout will not do it. Even a 2-20 minute workout will not do it. Most CrossFit gyms recognize this as well. Again this is excellent instruction but I don't know if this is excellent fitness for what clients/athletes are paying/what they desire/and GPP. I'm not bashing CrossFit I love CrossFit but I recognize that a 12 minute workout in a 60 minute session is not great. Again I'm not familiar with this gym and it's programming.

@@castrodc12 I think Crossfit its pointing that way! I know that she's great but when you are in that class you feel like you almost move, but that's my opinion

@@castrodc12 doing CrossFit and understanding CrossFit are entirely different. If you’ve never done your L1 it’s time to. Will open your eyes to a lot
@SuperKMao5 ай бұрын
How were you able to come to this conclusion without knowing the context of all the workouts that were programmed during that week or within the month's cycle? The goal of a GPP program is not to crush your members every single day - it's to give them what they need, not what they want. This is a great workout.
