That's odd. I must have the only good one then. I'm literally just about to send my 07 9C1 to the scrap yard tomorrow. 520k on it. original engine and transmission. The reason why I'm sending it off? Not because of the still fully functional engine and transmission... the rear driver's side fender rotted through to the trunk and my rear strut tower as a result blew out sideways as a result. We have 5 of these Impala interceptors in our taxi fleet. They range from 2009-2014. The 2009 one has well over 450k miles, and it's still in service. We haven't had any major issues with them. The oil is changed at every 5,000 miles, and the transmission fluid at every 25,000 miles. They are strong and reliable if you maintain them. Civilian cars will not compete with the durability of police interceptors. You can go ditch hopping in one of these, and it still be fine. Just a $50 junkyard bumper, and you're good to go.

Although, you forgot to mention that in 2012 the Whimpalas got the 305hp 3.6L V6 and the six speed auto trans. From what I hear, those were much better drivetrains. I’d still prefer a RWD car, but I wouldn’t mind a snotty 300 hp V6 tho.
