I love mechanical watches, and I get questions about my dive watches all the time, so let's talk about these are used and whether or not I take them on my dives.

Good for you. The Rolex is easily a 15k watch. I totally applaud you for using it the way it was built regardless the cost.

Them bezel clicks! I quite often rotate the bezel of my Turtle just to hear it 😂

Fantastic video! First time watching your channel and I had to subscribe. Man can I relate. I absolutely love dive watches. I was a PADI certified diver but that was a long time ago. I no longer dive but I still love my dive watches.

Garmin Descent MK2i is all the dive watch (computer) I’ll ever need.

I agree. I love mine, and the mk3 is out now as well.

I love that you are a watch guy. I don’t have any Rolex. My best watch is a Panerai that I love.

I do have my dive computer, but I do not have a backup one, maybe later I will. For the moment I bring my dive watch, analog profundimeter and dive tables to any dive trip. After each dive I run my calculations so, if there is any issue with the computer, I will be able to keep diving on the trip.

Great video. I also have the Rolex Deep Sea, James Cameron. The watch was strapped to the submersible that went to the bottom of the Mariana Trench and was led by James Cameron. This is how this model (dial) was given the nickname James Cameron. Nothing to do with the Titanic though.

Apparently those sell for $249 on HourSphere. What a steal! 🤣 🤣

Fun video, I don't dive, and just happened on you because I love mechanical watches, but really enjoyed it. I'll check you out again.

Great video Gus. Would you be so inclined to do a video discussing the differences and pros and cons between tech and recreational fins?

I'm a watch guy myself. Absolutely love them.

Fantastic!! I still only use mechanical on dives. Hasn’t failed me yet. My 5 digit sub and my BB58.

I use my two tone deep sea dweller to dive currently. I’m going to get the Garmin descent soon. I’m a fairly new diver with about 20 dives so far

Glad to see you are unapologetic for your love of watches. I am too but on a shoestring budget. 😊 Love that Rolex too. It would be cool to show the differences between brands and things to be aware of. 1) micro clicks on bezel 2) He escape valves on different watches 2) maintenance costs when using a watch diving Thanks.

I haven't gone scuba diving since maybe 23 years ago but I love dive watches so I wear one. I have a Citizen Promaster Automatic that I wear to swim, go to the beach, and kayaking...and I have a Seiko Turtle that's my everyday watch (my desk diver). I use the bezel all the time to measure time, like when I put something in the oven or when I'm doing laundry.

Just got an Oris Aquis, it has an ingenious depth gauge which makes it a true fully mechanical bottom timer. Might take it for recreational dives (Teric on the right). The depth gauge on the Oris would be accurate enough for deco on the fly. For CCR I have the same issue... considering to wear it next to the Teric... but maybe too much bling. Oris has another interesting Aquis with a moon hand & tides graph, but it's hemisphere limited. If they would combine the depth gauge, with tides and chronograph... I would buy two 😂 (one for southern & one for northern hemisphere)

I had a Tag Heuer dive watch in the 80's Black with black bracelet and gold accents in the bracelet. Lost that to divorce. I now dive a Citizen Eco-Drive Promaster. My dream is to win the lottery and buy a Rolex Submariner .

I have a Garmin MK2i that I use as my everyday watch and my primary dive computer. I would really like to see you guys review it and give a comparison to a shearwater. It uses the same model for gf and can be used with oc or cc, I am a big fan of both brands but would like to see your review for pros and cons. Im a little north of you if you want to use my computer to test it out.
