People love damage numbers, me being one. I couldn't get in PoE and PoE2 because they don't have damage numbers. Damage numbers also let you know right then and there if you are spec right or if that weapon is actually upgrade

I have preordered the game. I know i may end up disappointed, but the fact is I love thedas and no matter how bad the game is, i am simply excited to go back to thedas and explore more of it I just know that for myself, no matter what the reviews end up being, I am going to end up buying it no matter what. The dragon age series is my favorite game series of all times. I started with origins (but didn’t actually play for the first time until like 2016 lol) and then worked through each subsequent game. Each one was so different, but I managed to fall in love with every one of them (origins will forever have my heart, but I love the other 2 as well). Each game has always been so different so it’s not surprising to me that this new one is also very different Also I’m just excited, like so excited! So glad we get to see qunari as enemies again, that we have the opportunity to be a grey warden again! To me this game looks like what they wanted dragon age 2 to be (but did not have the time or money to do that) and that also makes me so excited because I loved dragon age 2 even with the all the repetitive caves lol

It has me worried. I don't want just another quippy action game with a gimmick...I want something Dragon Age....whole that changes with each game, they all still had our choices and our worlds. @@aundisky that’s really fair because of everything I’ve heard about the game, the lack of choices we can “import” has disappointed me the most. I love the world that I helped make and I want to see evidence of that, even if it is just a few lines in a codex. I am still unhappy with that decision by BioWare, but I also think I will still enjoy the game and I am looking forward to being back in thedas (not that I ever stopped playing the other games lol)

I see a lot of people complaining about how this game steps away from Dragon Age DNA & how the game directors don't know what they're doing. As a DA loyalist, I understand where they're coming from. As someone who works in gaming myself, I do see why the game directors did what they did. Unfortunately, sticking to what the loyalists want would severly restrict their market considering where the volume of game purchases come from. DA loyalists are unfortunately too niche a market from a AAA game release driven towards them as their core market. Which is why they've tried to reimagine the game, building on game types that have worked with the larger market; while keeping some small callouts to original DA. Not a bad strategy tbh. Whether it works or not is a different matter though.

Well i think you forgeting something. While its indeed a good idea trying to aquesition a new customer base you still have to develop a game thats liked by as much players as possible. But if you trying to force or inject some kind of ideologie or agenda into it that anoys like 90% of your potential custopmer base (new and old), you are scaring off already most of the customers before its even released. Also simplyfing a game to much and getting rid of a lot of features that fans loved in the old games dosnt help.Its called Wokeguard for a reason and they did it on purpose. This game will most likely fail hard and they deserve it.

Review embargo is apparently Monday 28th. If so that's pretty good and show some confidence. Because it allows us to watch some reviews before getting it. I am basically sure I am getting it. It would have to be really nasty reviews for me not to. Because the combat game play looks far more fun than all the other DA games. I played them all. But didn't finish DA:I because of boredom of Hinterlands and combat being boring rooted stuff. Also for all the videos I've see I like the varied locations. So conflicted about this game. I love the DA series, I remember picking up Origins on launch day and rushing home to play it and being wowed by how deep the world and lore were. Its the most confused RPG series I’ve ever played though. The story and lore is always changing, the gameplay changes with each game as does the art style and the fact you’re starting a new character with each game means you never develop a true connection with the characters in the game as all the stuff you go through with them doesn’t mean anything to the character in the next game.

Well, once the game is out, you can just watch a Twitch stream. Pretty easy to tell after a couple of hours, if you’ll like it. I’d rather spend 2-3 hours watching a video, than $70 for something i won’t touch. This game has big red flags, so absolutely I’ll watch Twitch. Probably wait for deep discount, due to the awful kids-game/hero-shooter art style. Cartoony is great for Zelda games… not so great for a D.A. game.

Depends on the graphics settings u use. The specs are pretty lenient, but ray tracing is demanding. If u play on medium/high w/ no ray tracing, u should be able to reach 60+ fps

Have fun! It's a beautiful franchise. Don't listen to the other guy, who said you should start with Origins. I started with Inquisition and still understood everything. The devs also said, that you don't have to play the other games to understand Veilguard. The emotional impact might be more drastic, if you play Inquisition before DA:V, but that's about it. :) And also - ignore the haters. They are usually culture war tourists.

Combat looks freaking amazing! The meteor spell at the beginning looks awesome and so do the other skills in the game so far. Easily - Lords of fortune is based in a primarily Qunari area - Mourn watch is a found baby - Grey wardens take anyone - Antivan Crows and shadow dragons found you as a child - Veil Jumpers anyone can join

@@5lim.0these are games about the stories, the characters and the lore/world building. The combat is tactical, especially in the early games. I go back and play origins every other year or so and while the graphics are dated, the story telling and characters are stronger than anything else out there

i had a preorder but all the drama made me cancel the preorder but i am still watching closely i want it to be decent, i dont expect it to be great but honestly if it is half decent i will still get it i love dragonage and mass effect. i am hoping it is decent not just for the sake of me but to keep the franchise alive and the studio
