If the dsp had a built in amp that would be fantastic! 😍

when you said "its 20024" i thought i was in the future :D regarding the iems, just get the nonDSP version, get an fiio ja11 dac and you are set

I'd say get the dsp verfsion and a separate cable. The simgot cables are kinda....meh i dont like em lol. I do like the dsp cable wayyy more than the typical simgot cable. I'm a sucker for tanchjim style cables.

Simgot EW300 dsp vs truthear hexa... Which is better?
@obodioreviewsАй бұрын
Quite different presentation. Hexa is leaner and cleaner overall while the EW300 has a more dynamic and rich tone
@johnpaulguevarra6916Ай бұрын
Hello, thanks for the review of these EW300s. I was thinking of getting the DSP version, but the problem is that my phone still uses lightning connection (I'm not sure if there is an available lightning to usb-c dongle in the market today), and I don't see myself buying a new one soon just for the updated usb-c connection. Because of this, the DSP version will be limited only to pc/laptop use, but I'm willing to let go the phone compatibility if its really better sounding than the silver version. If you don't mind, may I kindly ask how much better is the sound quality of DSP over the silver version for casual music listening and watching movies? I heard that the difference in sound/tuning is due to the difference in their cables. Also, do you know if pairing an (3.5 to lightning/usb-c) apple dongle with the silver ew300 will really make it sound muffled/underwhelming? Thanks in advance.
@johnpaulguevarra6916Ай бұрын
Apologies for asking, since there are no available shops in my area to try this first hand, and there are no sound demo available yet in youtube unlike the sennheiser ie200, which I am also considering getting.
@obodioreviewsАй бұрын
Hi! I would suggest getting the DSP version and then switching it up with a 3.5mm cable whenever you use it with your smartphone + dongle. They're essentially the same IEM, so you're only getting the benefit of the slightly refined tuning on the DSP along with the convenience which doesn't apply to you since you're using an type c

@@obodioreviews Thanks for the reply. I might just look for the Tripowin Zonie. Have a nice day!

Are the sound of the earphones themselves exactly the same, excluding the cable, for the standard, hbb, and dsp versions?
@obodioreviewsАй бұрын
With slight QC differences, the DSP and Standard are the same from my testing. I don't have the HBB version, sadly

15:10 The average durability of USB-C is actually higher than 3.5mm, look up some insertion cycle data. Of course it does heavily depend on manufacture quality, and it doesn't take into account DAC quality, which I suspect is the actual main failure point for DSP cables
@obodioreviews2 ай бұрын
That's true and is my main issue with the current state of DACs and DSP in-ears. I forgot to mention but I also have issues with the fact that the DSP shares the same port as the charging port which, depending on how many times you plug and unplug, will lower the lifespan of your type c jack. But as you said, the manufacturing quality is the main factor in determining the durability of the connector and I just feel more confident with an analogue jack than a type C one at this moment. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@miscwork-qb7pd2 ай бұрын
@@obodioreviews Whilst part 1 is true, it's important to bring in statistics. USB-C averages 10,000 minimum cycles before failure (I'll point out this is better than all other USB types except USB-B where it is roughly equal), so even if you plug in 5 times a day, that's 5.4 years before any failure can occur, and you'll likely upgrade your phone/dap before then due to battery life depletion

@@miscwork-qb7pd Thanks for sharing! That at least eases a bit of my worries for durability (still bummed the dedicated audio jack is gone though 😭)

is the HBB version (i found HBB version only available as 3.5 jack, and a bit pricier than standard analog version.) sound different from DSP version ?
@Hijynx87Ай бұрын
No, other than the dsp cable itself. All of the ew300 are tuned the same, you can get the dsp version and replace the cable
