I have this watch and if it had arrived with the blemish on the gong as this one has, it would have been returned. Great watch but their QA might need some review.

I noticed it here as well. Unfortunate. I will say, that they've worked through a lot of those manufacturing growing pains (side effect of unexpectedly high demand). Received mine a few months ago, so I was relatively late ordering it, and it's blemish free. They're also getting caught up on orders. Unfortunate situation, but not unexpected given the unanticipated demand and price point they have to stay within. They will honor returns / exchanges for such situations.

​@dBsdecibels they'll do returns/exchanges for blemishes? I just received mine and it has a tiny shallow knick, probably a mm, on the outer casing. Thinking it might not even be worth the hassle to exchange it. Gorgeous watch, just a bit disappointed how this managed to pass inspection

Is it the lighting or does the bracelet have a slightly different hue than the case?

Might be a difference of material. The bracelet is grade 2 (some cost cutting measures), while the case is grade 5. I don't notice it with the naked eye on mine. Camera can pick up things like that easier given its many filters in the chain of lenses.

I got a note in May that my July Bel Canto delivery was pushed back to October due to quality issues with the gongs (some were delivered with oil stains).

I thought the same when mine was delivered, but the responses I've received while wearing it have gotten me over it. Also knowing it's made from titanium, which explains the lightness. There will be Datejusts, Submariners, and Speedmasters all around, but no Sonnerie au Passages! 😊

not sure if i somehow missed it but did you ever demonstrate the actual chime or was that clicking the actual chime as you kept pushing the on off button? very confusing and a bit odd you didnt make it clearer I mean isnt the chime the whole reason to even consider this watch? its certainly not the time telling functionality which is apparently an afterthought in this one again odd you went on and on about the bracelet etc and barely mentioned or demonstrated its key functionality the chime?

You should watch the video, Tim fully explained the chime starting at 4:27 and then went absolutely chime crazy at 4:50. I'm not sure what more you could ask for.

You don't see it with the naked eye. I don't notice it on mine and I have a pretty sensitive eye for tones (photographer). The case is grade 5 while the bracelet is grade 2 (some cost cutting). The camera brings out the differences the eye can't detect because of the filters being used on cellphone cameras are meant to bring out tonal differences to enhance "pop" in photos.

I also swap out for my JLC Reverso, Breitling Superocean, Omega Sector Dial and Sarpaneva Super one. They're not making this watch for you, that's okay, they're making it for the likes of me.
