So screw you Bryan Singer...! You can do comic book accurate suits and still tell a good story. Their suits are part of their identity as a character. Take them away and they are lesser for it. Superman flying around as Clark Kent in civilian clothing just doesn't cut it. Putting on the Wolverine's cowl was the icing on the cake. Ryan knows what the fans want to see. 😂
@SurgicalPrecision24 күн бұрын
That whole plot line “I couldn’t have them thinking I wanted to be there…” heartbreaking. The loner who rejects love before he can be rejected (based on the unreasonable fear thereof). The two speeches at the end are heart wrenching: Hugh being proud and Ryan wanting to matter. The battle of self worth, of redemption. The movie is a lot of fan service, action and quips, but underneath that it has a lot of heart. “I waited a long time for this team up.” So did we Ryan, so did we.

@gamerguy1998111 күн бұрын
@roystoyscomics1361 to be fair, the early 2000's had a very different mind set for superhero movies. After stuff like Batman and Robin, superheroes were box office poison and "kid stuff". If it wasn't for Blade being more "gritty" and "cool," chances are films like X-men and Spider-Man wouldn't have even happened. It took a long time for superhero films to start having fun and doing intentionally goofy stuff. I honestly don't think the first X-men film would have worked as well as it did at the time if everyone had their comic accurate look.

@blandspaghettidinner8949Ай бұрын
I think it is the fact that virtually ALL versions of Logan have a big amount of "don't give a fuck" and typically don't want to get involved with anything and distances himself but usually ends up being pulled in either way. Only to end up saving the day at cost to himself. He is deep down a good guy and reluctant to be so, which is where "you were always the wrong guy" comes in. He is the wrong guy because he doesn't want to be that guy. But that don't mean shit because at the end of the day, he's the fucking wolverine. And he's ALWAYS the right guy.
@NotKidding52Ай бұрын

You know what, man? THANK YOU MORE for doing this. There are only 3 moments I was looking forward to in this film: - watching in theatres with my friends - watching at home with my girlfriend - and watching anywhere with you I love the Reel Rejects, Blindwave, The Normies, and Heroes Reforged. They were my OGs, but you always frickin singlehandedly put them behind you every time you react, you kinda newbie, you! Dang, I just love you, man. Being a man in his 30s, thank you for easing my pains. Love from the Philippines. ❤

Oh, other people have noticed it. Just not many. I noticed it the second it started when I was in the theater, and it cracked me up so hard. Still does. It's one of my favorite parts from the Avengers AND from this. The other one that really no one has noticed was the ED reference of "1 in 4 men..." getting cut short of a full on drug commercial. Tony Stark said it to Loki in the Avengers and Deadpool said it to Wolverine here. One of my other favorite moments in both movies.

35:00 the cool thing about Gambit is he can literally touch anything and turn it into an explosive (I think people too? I think it depends on the comic). His powers are on an atomic level and he’s actually supposed to be stronger than an Omega level mutant. However, in the comics he underwent a surgery that suppressed his powers. Can’t wait to see how they continue his story in the MCU. Channing deserves it after waiting almost 20 years.

This movie succeeded because Ryan Rendolds basically had full creative control. No outside influences from disney. Similar to Star Wars and George Lucas. That's why it was great.
@ZrankFappaHАй бұрын
They had to run everything through Kevin Feige though. Theres clips of Ryan talking about it. Saying how he was amazed he gave the greenlight to so much of the script (but no cocaine :D)

Disney has been behind every MCU movie since at least the first Avengers. God you people are stupid.
@Zombie_TrooperАй бұрын
People who say that have no idea how films are made. Of COURSE it went through Disney. You think they just handed him the keys to their multitrillion dollar franchise no questions asked? Really? Ryan had the ability to be creative, but everything had to pass execs, producers, boards of directors, etc...like every major film ever....

The Honey badger was a meme some years ago (Deadpool never misses a meme) for being tough as hell and coming back from whatever you put him through. It was depicted as a biker, super hero, criminal boss... As it is actually a very tough animal: difficult to kill, thick skin, small brain, oversized willpower for his ridiculous size, takes no nonsense from animals ten times bigger than him and, most of all, immune to venomous snakes. And it likes to get coma-drunk on fermented fruits, so that's probably the reason for Deadpool's reference, since Wolverine was doing that precisely. Though he probably just wanted an excuse to call him honey, that's all.

It wasn't so much that people didn't think Hugh Jackman would do a good job when he was first cast as Wolverine, it's that they had no idea who he was. X-Men was his very first major film role - he appeared in two obscure Australian movies and had small roles on a few Australian TV shows prior to 1999 when he was first cast as Logan, but almost nobody outside of Australia had even heard of him when the first X-Men movie came out.

Gambit can charge and throw anything (as seen by the staff he holds) his go to is playing cards “It’s like having 52 fully charged explosives right in your back pocket”-gambit from the animated x men show Tatum was planned to play gambit in x men origins but was unavailable. He was then planned to have his own solo movie which never came to fruition. Deadpool’s line are you sure you didn’t just really really want them to call you gambit but it never quite worked out is a reference to this. When all the hero’s are going over how they ended up in the void with them all saying they were sent here and told their universe was dying. Gambit saying I think I was born here hard to remember is a reference to the fact that he doesn’t have a world or a “movie” to call his own

I love that in the German dub with Human Torch they actually cast the German voice actor from the old F4 movie (which is a different one than who voices Chris Evans as Cap) and Deadpool says, "Ah, should've recognize him by the voice". "Watching *Deadpool & Wolverine* for the first time has been an absolute thrill ride! I’ve always been a fan of Marvel and the unique blend of humor and action that *Deadpool* brings to the table. Ryan Reynolds absolutely nailed the character, capturing that perfect mix of sarcasm and charm. Seeing him interact with Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, is like a dream come true for any comic book fan! The dynamic between the two characters is electric; Deadpool's irreverence contrasts so sharply with Wolverine's gruff demeanor, creating some genuinely hilarious and heartfelt moments. What I love most about this film is how it really plays with the rules of superhero movies, breaking the fourth wall and poking fun at the tropes we’ve come to expect. The self-aware humor is refreshing, and it invites viewers to laugh not just at the characters but at the genre itself. The action scenes are jaw-dropping too-intense choreography that keeps you on the edge of your seat while infusing humor into the most outrageous situations. It’s also interesting to see how the film navigates the complexities of their characters. Wolverine, with his dark past and struggles, contrasts beautifully with Deadpool’s chaotic nature, and their partnership highlights themes of friendship and redemption. This adds a layer of depth that I wasn't expecting, making it not just a comedy but also a story about overcoming personal demons and understanding one another. I can't help but appreciate the clever writing that brings out these themes amidst the laughs and action. And let’s not forget the cameos and references scattered throughout! As a long-time fan of the comics, catching those Easter eggs was so satisfying. It felt like a love letter not just to the characters but to the entire Marvel Universe, bridging together various elements in a way that feels cohesive yet chaotic, just like Deadpool himself! Overall, my first experience with *Deadpool & Wolverine* has left me eager for more! It expertly balances humor, action, and emotion, proving once again that superhero films can be both fun and meaningful. I’m excited to dig deeper into the lore and see how these characters evolve in the future. Here’s hoping for more adventures with these two iconic characters!"
