If you think that's swallowing your pride, then the entire saiyan race other than the king isn't prideful. Vegeta is just following tradition as a saiyan, he isn't swallowing his pride or humbling himself. Later on, you'll see vegeta is still the same vegeta we know when he challenges the king

I like Mondo Cool and I know he is paraphrasing to minimize the amount summary needed that he reads, but sometimes he Adlibs things they did not mean or even said at all. Like the random Yamcha stray or the Frost & Hit conversation. Hit did not freeze Frost it was meant to be a “cold shoulder” anime emote. There was no technique involved. I get he is basically trying to entertain, but some of these statements only go to confuse the viewer on how the content was actually written or its intent was. Also there was NO romance with Broly and Kale. A connection yes, but as kindred spirits not as potential lovers. Despite Cheelai might be worried about. Kale and Broly just sense that have something in common. That is it.

.....Admittedly, I don't scrounge for DB fan manga, I'm not even Dragonball fan at this point. But the lack of fics with the big man finally being put to bed and letting the new gen try their hand on their own is sad. Yes, his character is to always improve himself, nice. Yet the Cell saga ended with him understanding that if he were to be brought back after sacrificing himself, more badniks would turn up to threaten those he cared for. The series missed the greatest opportunity to actually make Goku into a thing of legend and show his impact on not only the people closest to him, but through his actions in DB, the new souls he'd inspire to attain the same heights as he did to the same end or similar to what he would die with. Or at least the latter. It'd even be an opportunity to redeem *Z Broly's* fall in second coming and Bio by taking and using what they left as far as how he was brought back. Adding to the fact that magic has been a thing in Dragonball from the jump, it'd be silly to think *that* can't be salvaged in some way. It'd even be a way for the old rogue's gallery to have a hand in thecstory beyond their deaths; *without* bringing them back from death. But I'm veering off. It's a shame Akira gave up on the initial idea with Gohan and didn't try another way to course correct before just digging up the mausoleum *right after the Cell saga's ending* but...to quote an Australian, at least in part: People don't like change.
