Anyone here a Golden Girls fan? I recently realized that the woman playing Joey's mother was also the actress who played Dorothy's sister-in-law in that episode where Dorothy's brother passed away. I was thrown off because her hair color is completely different here but I just love how she played in two of my favorite shows.

I know you guys thought they should've established that the restaurant guy gets high all the time to make it more of a dealbreaker but, I don't think that was really necessary under the circumstances. The reason the friends all agreed that Monica shouldn't work for that guy is because regardless of whether he gets high all the time or not, the fact that he actively chose to get high right before conducting Monica's job interview showed how unprofessional and self-involved he was. It should go without saying that being under the influence of anything during a private business meeting with a woman you've never met before is very disrespectful and immature (plus, from a woman's POV, a bit scary). It, also, implied that he wasn't actually taking her interview very seriously. So, yeah, it was meant to be pretty obvious why this guy would not make a desirable boss. That's why they didn't bother explaining why Monica wasn't taking/getting the job. Basically, the guy was a jerk for putting Monica in such an uncomfortable position and it would've only gotten worse if he was her boss (I mean, he was already making her job/life difficult during the interview...)

35:40 this scene is impossible to not laugh at. Chandler's face the whole time as Joey and Ross are talking are pricelss. Rip Matthew Perry, the dude made my childhood happy and helped develop my sarcasm. the comedian at the end is Jon Lovitz, he pops in a lot of stuff from Grown Ups 2 to Saturday Night Live. Awesome comedian, especially that gummy bear scene. 13:41 it's only wrong to you. In my opinion cheating is wrong especially when children are involved. But as Joey's mom was fine with it, it's clear it isn't wrong in her eyes. Sure they probably shouldve talked about it, maybe it needs to be an open relationship. She could be staying with the dad for financial reasons, for the comfort of another person. Most people see cheating as wrong, but there are those who culturally, historically, and personally may not find it wrong. Remember that poly episode. Ross mentioned monogamy is relatively new. Me, I would go either Chicago level or Why Women Kill level on someone who cheated on me. But for others that's not the case. (I know both Chicago and WWK are essentially the same, but WWK the girls did get away with murder more easily than the girls in Chicago.)

Somebody already mentioned this in another comment, but He actively decided that it was a smart decision to get high before getting to do Monicas interview. However personally and this is my personal view, I will NEVER understand why everyone is just so easy going about weed, it is in the end of the day still a DRUG, that affects your behaviour, it's no better then alcohol.

Yeah, these episodes aren't the best. They are just okay. Season 2 is when the show really takes off.
