My favorite funny moment in this whole show is when Loki's variants fight each other. What makes it funnier is Analyst Loki (our lead Loki) gets so exasperated at the way his variants behave. His face says, "god, I'm so annoying and immature."

The story goes that Sif, the Goddess of Harvests, bragged constantly about her golden wheat hair so Loki cut it off as a joke because wheat is supposed to be harvested. Thor was enraged that Loki messed with the reputation of one of his cronies, his wife this time, so he demanded that Loki go to the Dwarves to get the them to craft a fine gold-silk wig for her as a replacement. This transaction led to the dwarves crafting an item for all of the immediate pantheon, including Thor's hammer. Symbolically, Thor represents thunder which starts fires and brings rain for crops, SIf is the wheat, and Loki is the fire that can spread and destroy the crops.

I just love it when Old Loki is saying "Glorious Purpose!" before he dies, because that was in the first episode like Mobius said - the purpose of Loki to cause pain, suffer and death, in order for others to reach their glory. So good.

The 3 mini series were very different but I liked Loki the most because it's best at paving the way for the marvel-future or upcoming content, not just a single character. Also, tons of character development for Loki. It's very well rounded + has the typical marvel quality.

I love "Classic Loki's" deception because, back in the day, there was a series where he deceived the Asgardian population with an entire royal family facsimile. The main give away? He couldn't mimic Mjolnir. The "Thor" copy had a sword. Class sic.

Some of the Variant Loki from Episode 5 were pulled directly from the comic books. The old, grumpy Loki that dies distracting Alioth is wearing the original 4 color comick book yellow and green costume. Presumably he is the original comic book Loki. Kid Loki was lifted from a more recent comic series. Also in one of the Lair of Loki scenes, you see a small jar with a costumed frog on the wall with a tiny hammer. That is a version of Thor from the comic books that got turned into superpowered bullfrog for a few issues !

One of the main theories I heard was that Sylvie's nexus event was the toys she was playing with. She was pretending to be a valkyrie, which would make her a hero rather than a trickster. Also Loki cutting Sif's hair is based on a story from actual norse mythology. Personally I like to imagine him trying to explain it with "it's just a prank brah!".

From the 3 series (WandaVision, Falcon and Loki) I liked Loki the most. On the one side because Loki is a great character but also because I feel this show is the starting point to the whole multiverse which I guess will be a heavy focus in coming Marvel movies.

WandaVision was the start of the Multiverse. Her using the Darkhold and hearing her kids (who didn't actually exist at that point), was Wanda tapping into the Multiverse (which we'll see more of in Doctor Strange 2). Loki just furthered that by breaking the timeline and creating variants of Kang (who will be the big bad for Phase 4).

Two observations - if you look at the walls where they meet Kang, they look like what is called Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken objects by highlighting the glued crack lines with gold dust. A reflection of the deviations? Another - when Kane pauses and says, "There, it happened" if you sync up with the very moment that Wanda truly becomes the Scarlet Witch, they, these two moments blend together, moving the MCU into the next phase

Saw your post and immediately went back to check the shows. Not only did the scenes sync up but it was the same thunder sound rumbling in the background. That's some nice attention to detail. (for those interested, it all starts to happen about the 27min 30sec mark in each show)

Per the writers of Loki, the "Synching up of the end of the episodes" is entirely coincidental and was not something they attempted to do. They said that they had already finished the script and it was in production before they saw the Wandavision finale

Conclusion: He who remains is a dude named Kang. Like he said there was a universal war. But for the TVA to exist a good version of him needs to win the war then he will create the TVA. So when Silvy killed him... another good one took his place thats why he said see you again. But this good kang took a different approach instead of lying saying that there are 3 time keepers. This one looks like he reveal himself to the TVA that he is in charge. That's what you saw in the end. Some people says Loki landed on a different timeline... not really no. The TVA actually doesn't form part of any timeline. There is only one TVA which watches on all the timelines/universes for branches. Cuz it wouldn't make sense to have multiple TVAs... if it is so...for example if there is a branch then 2 Mobius would collide/meet there going to solve that branch which doesn't make sense. So there is only one TVA but it changed as a different Kang took his place.

That is how the multiverse works. Every decision creates a new universe. When one supposedly travels "forwards or back in time", you are actually travelling to another universe in the multiverse. This is why there are multiple Infinity Stones, Thanos can be killed more than once, how Nebula can kill herself and not disappear, etc. It is (or was or will be) the workings of He Who Remains and the TVA pruning universes who provides the illusion of one Sacred Timeline and time travel without paradoxes. The orignal natural state of reality is a Multiverse.

So He Who Remains is bascially a variant of Kang who is the big bad of the upcoming Ant-Man 3. Also Jonathan Majosrs(Kang) and Wumni Mosaku(Agent B 15) are in Lovecraft Country together which is another series you should watch. Just 1 season, 10 episodes.

I love the moral complexity of He Who Remains/Almost-Kang. Like… you kind of see his point. And especially if you read the comics, you know how messed up THE Kang is. So maybe this variant is the lesser of two evils. But also he’s stripping free will away from every sentient being in existence. And I appreciate that He is conflicted by it too. He’s not really evil but not good either. He doesn’t seem to really enjoy being in charge, it’s a burden.

So, the fracturing of the time line, is caused by the one who could not trust, not the one who could not be trusted. And, what was this little one’s nexus event? Oh, she wanted to be a Valkerie… loyal to the the throne of Asgard and all that goes with that. Scarred by the TVA, the most damaged Loki of all. There is an element of love within her, (love of herself?). But, it’s not enough, the damage is too deep. Attempts to save, a version of herself (pushes Loki through the portal)? But destroys everyone’s future in the process. Clearly, the most irrational move of all the Loki variants. More of a fighter (Valkerie) than a Princess of Asgard. Does she have a plan? Or is she just striking out at the one who destroyed her childhood? Thanks Mary, I enjoy your reactions to the Loki saga.

Oddly enough, out of all the Marvel shows, Loki was the one I was least interested in. However, after watching them all, Loki ended up being my favorite. Sylvie's been running her whole life when not taking a breather in disaster zones! C-20 suffered brain damage and died after one too many margaritas? NOT NATASHA ON VORMIR as previously speculated. Just a back-lit Sylvie. Apparently the 'All hands on deck' alert did the trick. The out-of-control branching caused by Sylvie's mass-bombing has been completely pruned! What caused the Nexus on Lamentis? A Loki team-up? Hopeful Lokis? Lokis in love? A merging of anima and animus? It certainly got someone's attention because the TVA rescues them rather than let the planetary collision clean up the mess. The first mention of vampires in the MCU! Blade, anyone? The return of Lady Sif! In Norse myth, Loki shaved her bald! Lol. Jaimie Alexander's unremarked departure from the MCU was criminal and I hope this heralds her survival of Ragnarok. "Blindspot" is over and I want a Thor reunion! Mobius detects a love connection. Loki, in the ultimate act of narcissism, has fallen in love with himself! The scales are falling and the web of lies are unravelling: first, B-15, then Mobius! C-20 wasn't catatonic but hyper-aware and PRUNED by order of Ravonna! EPISODE 6 is a game-changer! We open by hitching a ride on the Sacred Timeline to the Temple at the End of Time! Miss Minutes offers a Faustian bargain to the Lokis but the pair refuse a SCRIPTED 'best of all possible worlds'! Four statues but one is rubble. Who was the Fourth and who obliterated it? Enter JONATHAN MAJORS in IMMORTUS-mode as 'He Who Remains' chewing the apple of knowledge and all the scenery with it! Lol. Ravonna stares wistfully at Mobius' water ring stains on her furniture wishing she hadn't needed to prune the guy. Rebuffed by the Lokis, Miss Minutes brings some Forbidden intel straight from Immortus as a Plan B. B-15 exposes the pursuing Minutemen to the truth behind Ravonna and themselves! Ravonna was a principal at FDR High in Ohio the year of the Snap! Mobius confronts Ravonna and he goes down like a chump! She departs through a portal with her Forbidden Knowledge in search of free will. What has Immortus directed her to do? Immortus shows the Loki pair the scripts of their lives, a drama he has authored! IMMORTUS tells the tale of 31st-century scientist NATHANIEL RICHARDS, the Council of Counterparts, the belligerence of KANG, the Multiversal War, how Alioth ended it and the reason bad things happen to good people. He offers the keys to the kingdom to the Loki duo. The script runs out, the threshold is crossed, the timeline begins to branch with possibilities and Immortus experiences the terrifying thrill of not knowing what comes next. The Lokis don't see eye to eye! Sylvie cannot trust and 2012 cannot be trusted! SWORDFIGHT before a fascinated Immortus! Loki fights defensively and confesses not to wanting a throne but just wanting Sylvie to be ok. SELF-LOVE! The Lokis kiss! Sylvie betrays 2012 and tosses him through a portal using Immortus' TemPad. Sylvie plunges her blade in Immortus' heart! He Who Remains dies with a wink and an ominous promise. At the TVA, Mobius and B-15 stare at a hopelessly frayed timeline. Heartbroken Loki desperately races to find Mobius to warn him of the incoming variants of Immortus. Mobius doesn't recognize Loki and mistakes him for a rattled analyst! It's 'A SOUND OF THUNDER' by Ray Bradbury! The world has already been irrevocably altered or the TVA has multiplied! An imposing statue of KANG THE CONQUEROR overlooks the TVA! The Multiverse of Madness, the Spider-verse, What Ifs, Quantumania and Secret Wars have all begun! Season 2 is announced! I cannot wait!

There's a theory that the the reason he fibbed and the timelines started branching off is because of Wanda. A lot of people think it's because of dr. strange and peter, but I believe it's because of wanda since she is a nexus being. Her coming out as the scarlett witch created a nexus event that Kang didn't foresee since it was a reality that wanda controlled. If you look up wandavision sync with loki, it is sync very well up until a second apart. Though Dr. Strange and Peter did create a mess, so have others that have traveled through time. One can say that what dr. strange and peter did was supposed to happen, but Wanda is the only nexus being in her universe that we know of. Even Agatha says "Oh god, you don't know what you've done." to wanda when emerges as the Scarlett Witch which is perfectly synced to the final loki episode..

22:05 I cannot say how pleased I am that Classic Loki found his glorious purpose--to look death in the face, and laugh, for a higher good, helping someone else. Who would have thought? 30:25 Wait a minute. He-Who-Remains admitted to slaughtering timelines--entire universes full of innocent people--for god knows how long, over and over again, just to protect HIMSELF. Why do you believe him? Sylvie was too wounded, too traumatized to be able to keep herself from killing the man who murdered her family and world, but why does anyone believe this obvious sociopath who thinks he alone can save the multiverse, and to do that he has to keep on killing more people than a thousand copies of Thanos. The multiverse, with all those branches full to the brim with living people making choices, living their lives, that is infinitely more desirable than forcing everyone into a cookie cutter existence, where one out of every hundred billion trillion people are allowed to live.

Technically nobody is forced into a cookie cutter existence, every single person that continues to exist is doing exactly what they always would have anyway. You aren't not supposed to believe him, he is telling the truth. You might think there was a better way (of course there is), but he isn't lying about what he did, why he did it, and what the dangers are - and you are not really supposed to think he is lying. And he isn't really a sociopath, he is potentially billions/trillions of years old and is twisted beyond anything anyone could have gone through and stayed completely normal.

The little girl taken by the TVA at the beginning was Sophie, in case there was any confusion. Her "crime against the timeline" was that she was good. Loki's are supposed to be bad, and her already becoming a decent person at such a young age was apparently a no-no. Oh, silly TVA. ;)

Remember in _The Avengers_ how Bruce Banner said, "His brain is a bag full of cats. You can smell crazy on him." How would someone with Loki's power go crazy, exactly? Maybe by inventing an infinite multiverse in which he's trapped, and every time he comes close to escape, gets pulled into ever deeper plot twists. Kind of like a "Bobby Ewing in the shower" storyline, dreamed up by an insane demi-god....?

This show isn't about Loki. It's a way to introduce a female Loki to the MCU. Just as the Hawkeye show introduces a female Hawkeye, What If introduces a female Supersoldier (Captain Carter), the upcoming She-Hulk is about a female Hulk, and they are also working on a female version of Iron Man (Iron Heart) and a female Thor. I think there's a pattern developing, but I can't quite put my finger on it...😉

One thing that bothered me about the TVA was how young Sylvie was when they arrested her. When our Loki was abducted, he was *stripped naked,* forced to acknowledge everything he'd ever said and taken before a judge. That meant the TVA did the same thing to Sylvie when she was a little girl and that really pisses me off.

I really thought this series was ok at best. They kinda missed the trick with this one. 6 episodes where virtually nothing happens culminated in a 10 minute diatribe punctuated with the most extra over acting. this really should have been season 2.

Loved Loki - right up to the final episode, which I thought was awful. I Hated the big reveal from the character introduced in it; I also thought he was such a hammy, hammy actor, badly miscast - although the character/his lines just flopped anyway. That was disappointing - but the rest of the series was Great.

I agree with your opinion of the last episode. Watching a 10 minute dialogue with him jumping up and down on the desk like a petulant toddler was just dumb. But i thought the whole series was a miss. This whole season should have been season 2. Season one should have been loki and mobius on tva adventures going to different timlines and locations seeing strange variants of other characters developing their friendship. this was 6 episodes of nothing really happening and then kang.
