A few things to note. The reason why Ash is called Satoshi is because the Japanese version has different names for the characters, moves, Pokemon and locations and the subtitles are based off the Japanese names not the English ones. For example, the Pokemon Aceburn is actually called Cinderace in the English version and Lizardon is Charizard. The characters who watch Ash's are all of the friends that he's traveled with throughout the series and the Pokemon that appear when Pikachu collapses are all of the Pokemon Ash has caught throughout the entires series, divided by the region where they were caught in. The reason Pikachu and Cinderace grew gigantic is due to special mechanic called Gigantamax. The battle between Ash and Leon is a full battle, which is six vs six (the maximum number of Pokemon a trainer can have on hand). Ash uses Pikachu, Gengar, Sirfetch't, Lucario, Dracovish and Draconite while Leon uses Cinderace, Inteleon, Mr. Rime, Dragapult, Rillaboom and Charizard. Sonia (the girl battling Leon in his flashback) is not his sister. This is not the last episode of the Pokemon anime (it's not even that last episode of this series).
@KenDaKingArrives2 жыл бұрын
You're right, but it is the biggest accomplishment in Ash's life to this point, and it brings a conclusion to what the first episode was building towards. Ash said he wanted to be the best, and in this episode he accomplished that, since Ash's story is ended after this series, this is as good as the last episode from his perspective, especially since he seems to be a casual.

Pokémon is dubbed by a dubbing studio that gives new names to everyone and everything, to 'westernize' it. Satoshi is the name of the protagonist from the Pokémon anime, named after the director of the Pokémon games. He's just called Ash in the dub, because of how they handle naming. Funnily enough, Pikachu is one of the few exceptions to the naming convention of the dubbing studio. Not only does that species of Pokémon keep its Japanese name, but the Japanese voice clips are kept in, completely unaltered. The games are the original source material of the Pokémon series. The anime is an adaptation of the games, though it's been a loose adaptation since Season 6. Satoshi/Ash was based on the player character from the first set, or generation of Pokémon games, and the player character from the second generation of games doesn't appear in the anime except for a special episode with a standalone story that doesn't involve Satoshi at all. Starting with Season 6, which is the first of three seasons adapting the third generation of games, one of the choices of player character from the current generation's adaptation joins Satoshi in his travels as a new trainer, with Satoshi serving a sort of mentor role alongside his own journey. The exception to that is the adaptation of generation 5. Generation 5 of the games was designed to be a soft reboot of the games, though it didn't pan out that way in the end because that direction wasn't appreciated by the consumers. However, going along with the idea of a soft reboot, the anime tried to soft reboot Satoshi and Pikachu in the generation 5 anime, with very similar results. It was rough. They gave Satoshi his experience back about halfway through the generation 5 part of the anime. Just something to be aware of. Also the generation 7 adaptation is rather scaled down in scope compared to the ones before it, being less of a continuous journey and more of a series of excursions with everyone returning to a sort of home location afterward. I didn't care for that one, though more accurately there was a single character I found to be exceedingly obnoxious, and that character ruined it for me because they just would not shut up. Again, just something to be aware of.

i know you have already had a few people probably answer most of your questions, but as a Pokémon fanatic... i have to give out what info i could provide as well! 1: so there are now up to 9 generations of Pokémon, and every gen brings an average of around 100 new Pokémon (give or take), so there are indeed a lot of amazing differently designed Pokémon. 2: at 25:15, those were all of the Pokémon ash caught on his journey through the Pokémon world 3: every creature that is not human in the Pokémon world are indeed Pokémon (though there are a few small exceptions in the first season of the anime where Pokémon was still trying to figure out its world building, so you can occasionally see small creatures like normal fish and worms) 4: every Pokémon has one or two types, such as fire, water, grass. there are 18 total types (though some types were added at later times in the games/show) and these types work in ways you probably can predict, like how fire is strong against grass, and water is strong against fire. 5: each trainer can have up to 6 Pokémon on their person at a time, and any other Pokémon they have is usually sent back to the professor who gave the trainer their Pokédex (the little machine that you mentioned at the beginning for telling you information about Pokémon). the trainer can switch out what Pokémon they have whenever they want. 6: when you saw Pikachu and "Aceburn" (in America, the Pokémon is called Cinderace) get really big, that was a special mechanic that was introduced in this generation of Pokémon (gen 8) where you can make one of your Pokémon super big for a short amount of time during a battle. there were other mechanics in previous games, such as a super powerful move (called z-move) or being able to temporarily change the appearance of your Pokémon and increase its strength (mega evolution) 7: MOST Pokémon can undergo a thing called Evolution, where when the Pokémon gets strong enough, its physical appearance permanently changes and the Pokémon gets stronger, usually bigger as well. (some Pokémon evolve through different ways, such as Pikachu. the only way Pikachu can evolve is if it is given a special item called a "thunder stone", but in the anime, Pikachu refuses to touch a thunderstone to evolve, so ash never forces Pikachu to do it.) 8: in japan, his name is Satoshi, but in America, its Ash. 9: this was indeed NOT the final episode, but that one is soon to come, and it will not be the end of the Pokémon anime, but it will be the end of Ash in the anime, after 25 years, our boy is FINALLY going to retire at the age of 10... yes... he has been 10 this WHOLE TIME... If you do plan on watching the show, I hope you enjoy it because this show has definitely imprinted on millions of people around the world (be warned, due to controversy and even one case where thousands of people were sent to the hospital due to flashing lights, some of the early episodes of Pokémon were banned and ever aired in America so there may be some points where you are confused, such as "why does ash have 30 of the same exact Pokémon? I don't remember seeing him catch these!" which, the reason for that is the episode where ash catches those Pokémon, there was an old man... with a gun... so yeah America didn't want that XD) . and if you buy the games, be sure to enjoy yourself there too. imagine the Pokémon you catch more than a weapon, but a friend. Sorry for long message, when it comes to Pokémon, I just cant stop myself from blabbering lmao

In the English version of the show, his name is Ash, in the original Japanese version, his name is Satoshi. They named him after the the creator of the the games.

I love your reaction!! Satoshi is his Japanese (original) name for Ash. You can see here the difference of 25 years of the anime, Ash and Pikachu... they went through a lot to get to that place! You should watch the whole serie

They call him Satoshi because you’re watching the Japanese version. The American version isn’t out yet

PLEASE DO MORE POKEMON REACTIONS!! Would be cool to seeing you play the games too 👀 Edit: The Continue at the end is because the other main character of that season, Goh, have some episodes left, but this is the last episode of the Master Tournment Arc! And they call him Satoshi because his name in Japanese is Satoshi, they call him Ash in the Dub!

- "this song is amazing" from that last battle, well it's the original theme song that in English version replaced with "Gotta Catch 'Em All". The name is [Aim to be a Pokemon Master] or めざせポケモンマスター (mezase Pokemon Master)

Dude, the Pokemon community is the nicest one ever. If that’s the only reason you’ve not played the games you’re missing out, lol. Every game is a good game for beginners, they start by explaining what pokemon are and everything. It’s tedious for pokemon veterans, but makes it easy for any newbies just joining in for the first time.

Been following Pokemon since the beginning of the anime and yes Ash/Satoshi becoming the World Champion was so worth the 25 year journey. There's a total of 8 anime sagas/"Generations" with each consisting of at least 3 seasons and explores a different region every time. It's not the "Last" episode of the anime because it was already announced that there will be a Generation 9 anime next year. But it IS the finale for Ash & Pikachu as the protagonists. Go get into it! It's going to take a while, but it's a lovable fandom and the Pokemon community is great.

Pokemon is a beloved franchise that has a compelling world, exciting battles, and heartwarming relationships between trainers and their Pokemon. It is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys action, adventure, and heartwarming stories.

I would definitely recommend watching the series. It’s very long though, over 1200+ episodes. If you want, you can skip all the filler episodes which will cut that number down by a lot.
@madnessarcade74472 жыл бұрын
There is no filler it’s all part of the adventure all those experiences made ash the person he is today There’s no filler
@madnessarcade74472 жыл бұрын
@Yo Its Zen no there aren’t It’s all part of the adventure you ignored the rest of my statement Fillers are non canon Every moment every experience is important to ash’s growth as a trainer and as a person

@Yo Its Zen you ignored the rest of that I just said Read man
@Dvanwees2 жыл бұрын
@madness arcade , what he means with filler are the episodes with side stories. I consider filler all the episodes where aah doesn’t catch a Pokémon, one of them evolves, learns a new move or is about a gym/league. You could skip all the other episodes, besides maybe some of the arcs and still follow the story. A lot let time consuming and still worth it to watch.

Soo did not watched the video yet. I know a lot of people do these videos but i really love the idea of you doing them! Getting your view of a series in just one video just sounds amazing. Hope you do more of them and i say that before watching. 💯😂
