To me, this is the best or at least top 2 of this entire series. And can we all take a moment to appreciate the actor on the carousel. "When you're killing me you look at me!" He gave everything in that scene.

Can't tell me Jigsaw wasn't doing the Lord's work with this one. Anyone working for that insurance fraud company got what was coming.

Especially William. I'm sorry but those were exactly the choices dude was making every day. It's not different just because he can't see the people he's ending. If we forced CEOs to look into the eyes of each and every person as they died, maybe things would change.

Can we get Tanedra in a mainstream horror movie again pls?!? She deserves EVERYTHING!!!
@aarondavis2258Ай бұрын
She really does! She's done a lot of independent projects in Black Media, & I believe she works in production now. Unfortunately for a lot of Saw stars, I've heard they get typecasted & it's really difficult to find more work afterwards.

Especially how Scream Queens treated all those ladies, but as the winner for good reason.
@dklounge7082Ай бұрын
The treatment that John goes to William to for coverage is the same treatment he went to get in Saw X as the doctor from Norway that John was referring to was Cecelia Peterson's father and that whole flashback was actually the inspiration for writing Saw X Also, Are we gonna get a reaction to Candyman (1992) in light of Tony Todd's recent passing?

Regarding Amanda’s character and things shown in SAW II, VI and X; I like to think seeing Gabriella die and Carlos getting roped into the “blood-boarding” trap were the reasons why Amanda protected Daniel in SawII. After seeing one life no different than her own being snuffed out by Cecilia, and Carlos obviously having done nothing wrong, Amanda might’ve been trying to make right for being unable to save Gabriella…that being why she left Daniel somewhere “safe”, and aided him during 2’s game. I mention SAW VI as well, because there IS a post-credits scene that shows Amanda gave a warning to Jeff & Lyn Denlon’s daughter. At the very end of SAW III, John’s contingency plan was a tape recording warning Jeff that their only other child was hidden somewhere in the complex, and only John (as well as a, by then, deceased Amanda, and rogue Mark Hoffman) knew where she was. SAW VI’s after credits scene proceeds to embellish on that storyline, where Amanda gives the kid some advice, to “don’t trust…the one who SAVES you…” that being her warning about Hoffman staging her rescue at the beginning of Saw V, after attempting to kill off Strahm in the water box execution. Amanda KNEW because of Hoffman blackmailing her (with the ultimatum of killing Lyn Denlon, or having Hoffman out her for playing a role in the death of John & Jill’s unborn child) that she likely wouldn’t make it out SAW III alive, so she left a warning for the kid. In spite of how disturbed Amanda was to go through assisting Kramer with these murders, there was that shed of humanity still in her to protect the kids who got involved. To avenge Gabriella, to shield Carlos’ eyes from Cecilia killing Parker in SAW X, to safeguard Daniel in SAW II, and even warn Lyn & Jeff’s daughter.

Watching this after December 4th is wild.
@pedromatias7608Ай бұрын
It took 3 movies later to find out why Amanda was so adamant to kill Lynn. Hoffman set her up to fail her test. But honestly, John being so big on forgiveness he probably would have forgiven Amanda. Or maybe he already knew. Either way, Amanda was down dirty. I really wanted her to stick around longer as apprentice.

Simone (Tanedra's character) is one of my favorites because she absolutely pushes back against the whole "I did this to myself/I learned a lesson" narrative (her appearance in 7 is the only worthwhile moment in the whole movie). Like no, my guy. If you put a person in a death trap that will kill them unless they do some horrible things to themselves and others, then guess what? YOU did that. John Kramer gets half a pass for thinking the logic is logic-ing because there is a tumor competing for space in his skull; Hoffman does not have the same excuse. Simone is not here to validate this man's power fantasies.

@17:23 The scene is pretty realistic too. I don't have any breathing issues, and holding your breath until the janitor dies is possible. And after years of breathing in chlorine gas, and alcohol I am not sure what the hell I have in my body keeping me alive, well except for the fact that Satan don't want me, and God is there with weed and whiskey saying, "lets see what I can put the SOB through tonight." I did shake hands with the Reaper once, he died, came back as a baby girl in China, and came back before me as the Reaper calling me "an SOB." -the last sentence a slight modified steal from Family Guy. lol

I would lose the breath game so fast hahahaha. I suck at holding my breath. Just tested it and I lasted around 35 seconds, which is really pathetic. I should probably practice that. Not to mention you only get WORSE at holding your breath in life or death situations, because your body wants to pant to provide you with extra air.

I think for the ending, it would've been better if it was his sister who died instead of William. Think about it, it would've been a harsher punishment for him to see his sister die and he couldn't do anything about it.

Wow, you guys freaked me out at the part about the woman with the family and the younger guy. Mostly as a young woman with minimal family this says I'd be picked to die over an older person with kids, no matter their age or self sufficiency because the assumption is more people to miss them, not potential future. And family doesn't say friends. Maybe a person has a big circle but not a life that allows them biological ties. John acts like insurance doesn't normally pick the older mother/grandmother over the young POC. Mmhmm.
