I would definitely do different rankings every season because there is more characters like you said, but the characters also change throughout different seasons and have different personalities so you may like or dislike a person more then you did in the past season! Also a fun fact, Millie actually shaved her hair for this season then just putting a wig/cap on!

originally jonathan and will’s dad was supposed to show up and help nancy and jonathan kill the demegorgon after it killed steve, but the creators loved joe keery’s acting so much they decided to give him a redemption arc. also they pitched the show with the title “stranger things” planning for each season to be a different independent story like american horror story, but after they casted the kids they knew people would love them so they pivoted to plotting 5 seasons for hawkins instead

a little scientific fact for you: the reason we float in salt water is because salt increases water's density by changing its mass without changing its volume significantly. the human body is not as dense as the salt water so with enough salt in the water you will become buoyant and float. a good example of this is the dead sea. it has like 30-40% salt concentration, which makes the water super dense. you can look up pictures of the dead sea and people floating in it, its quite interesting honestly.

okay let's go i love your reactions but as Lucas's official lawyer i have to say he's the most freaking realistic and rational character in this series and he's like 11 so it's VERY understandable he's scared he went through a lot his best friend is missing and yeah we LOVE Eleven BUT he doesn't know what we do, he only knows that she is a random "freak" that showed up in their lives and took his best friend from his side (Mike is being very one sided too) so Lucas is just doing what we all would do at 11 c'mon

Steve is great because hes just a normal guy living a normal life. you expect him to be the typical 80s bully but the show subverts your expectations and when you put yourself in his shoes the things he does are believable because he doesnt know about the supernatural stuff happening. its great.

Hopper was situated in Vietnam during the war and he was exposed to chemicals or something that messed with his ability to have healthy offspring which is how his daughter Sara got so ill and he blames himself for her death cause I’m pretty sure he knew there was a possibility for complications just had a kid anyway. This is all just subtext in the show, it’s something that happened to a lot of soldiers during the Vietnam war, the only hints we actually get to it are a shot in a future episode where u can see his storage boxes and one of them has Vietnam written on it, as well as the several times in the show where he refers to himself as cursed and stuff, it’s actually really sad, and his daughters death is why he moved back to Hawkins
