As a real life tall girl (6’3” by the time I was 14), there are legitimate problems with being above average height, i.e. not fitting in cars or planes to a painful degree, literally growing too fast for your own body and having intense knee, hip and back pain; out growing your own bed frame; out growing all of your sisters hand-me-downs, then out growing the entire new wardrobe your mom buys you within a few months, so your mom buys you over large clothes that she hopes you grow into because your family can’t afford to keep buying new clothes and she’s every few months. This movie didn’t hit any of them. For the record I love being tall.

Every teen coming of age movie is just like “uwu im a conventionally attractive white girl but i (insert minor flaw here) so im not popular.” Like- as a black girl in school i have to deal with literal racists. People calling me burnt cuz im dark skinned and always touching my hair and shit. It’s so annoying because no one really explores how hard it is out here for us. But since movies need their diversity points they always have that one token black friend to the main character. Im sorry that was an off topic rant but I’m annoyed.

YO WAIT A GAY MUSICAL WHY IS THERE NOT A GAY MUSICAL OTHER THAN GLEE LIKE A HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL BUT GAY ASF MY GOD WAIT STOPPPPP
@intheraeyne5 жыл бұрын
There is! It's called Were The World Mine and it's extremely gay and pretty cute. It's based around Midsummer Night but an all-boys highschool theater. It's a coming-of-age and comedy thing, too.

chad and ryan def could've been a thing in high school musical
@fruitygarlic36015 жыл бұрын
@@solidusername I think Ryan was supposed to have a boyfriend before Disney swooped in and stole our dreams. I'm not sure if there was going to be a whole subplot, or if he was just going to be a unimportant character who shows up during dance scenes, but he was supposed to exist and then didn't.

Uhh... meow? I'm a poor Asian high school graduate with Aspergers, PTSD and ADHD. I also have a very dark and traumatic past which includes but is not limited to: bullying, class warfare, ableism, sexual harassment, rape, disrespect, abuse, suicidal attempts, temporary homelessness and generally being seen as an outcast to society and even to my own family. Jodi's only issue is that she is very tall for a female and she has huge feet (both of which would be considered attractive for some people). She's a privileged rich white woman who is ignorant of the world. That or she is very innocent and unaware of the pain and suffering other people her age or even younger went through.

Fun fact, I was ALWAYS the tall girl, a lot of my friends also label me as tall and make jokes about. Which I don't mind by the way XD. I liked being tall and I teated my friends like little babies haha. But then I met this boy who is 20 cm longer than me (he is now my bf hehe) and I feel so small in his presence, my friends also call him a giant XDD, so now I know how it feels to be tall and small :3
