The little girl that was kidnapped in the beginning is the tether. What is below is above. That’s why the little girl could speak and became so hateful because she had a normal life for a few years and then was taken down there, and the tether went above to live that life, and the real girl down below was being tortured. As all who were below were being tortured after going missing, and they tether took their life above.

Us is simply an upside down look into the old movies about bodysnatching. Invasion of the Body Snatchers is a 1956 American science-fiction horror film produced by Walter Wanger, directed by Don Siegel, and starring Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter. The novel has been adapted for the screen four times; the first film, Invasion of the Body Snatchers in 1956, the second in 1978, the third in 1993, and the fourth in 2007. It was also the basis of the 1998 movie The Faculty and the 2019 movie Assimilate.

Ayeee 😎 You did really good at picking up some of the clues in this movie!!!! Alot of people miss some of the ones that you picked up on and they have to rewatch several times till they even understand what is actually going on lmao! I understand though because it's hard to rap your head around the universe that Jordan created for this film. I fucking love this movie. Ive watched it probably the most out of all his films. And I've watched it so much that i find it hilarious and so now when I watch it with other people I just look like a psychopath hysterically laughing to the freakiest shit ever🤣 But this film is so clever like that. You can watch it a different time and kind of get a different experience every time. I love finding new things that i didn't catch before and I'm literally STILL finding things! Honestly it's hard for me to pick between this film and "Get Out" as my favorite Peele movies. Most people just say "Get Out" because it's much more fun in a sense and pretty Literal and easy to understand. Where as "Us" has much more layers to unfold and it manages to be Literal yet Metaphorical at the same time. Its hard for me to compare the two when I love both films equally for being completely different and unique stories all on their own! You should DEFINITELY check out another one of his films called "Antebellum", if you haven't already. It really doesn't get the love that I think it deserves! It's another unique story of his! Absolutely amazing film with an amazing cast! I promise you won't regret it 🙏🏾🧡

My only questtion about the Tethered is why they never just left if they hated it so much. Red doing the switch and then the whole underground coming up for a revolt shows that there is nothing actually holding them down there andd that they aren't forced to mimic the humans, so why not just leave if they wanted to so badly?
@plaplaks2 ай бұрын
Maybe they didn’t think they had the ability to until the 1st tether broke out. It seems like the passage is through that mirror room. In the flashback young lupita’s tether switched places with her. Because she was a little kid she couldn’t fight her off. In the future with the homeless man he probably wandered into the mirror room, saw his tether and then was able to fight him off and get out of the building and the tether probably chased after him and killed him and then that’s what made the tether’s realize they could come to the real world and essentially eliminate their other persona so they could be free. Idk just my theory.
