My babies were just murdered by the new neighbors dogs. We have lived here peacefully in the woods, away from the road and any near neighbors with no trouble for my precious ones for 20 years. I am heartsick about my sweet boy, Tigger and my precious Miss Kitty. I am so miserable without them and lonely. Your video brightened up my day with this wonderful catio and seeing how happy your babies are. It gives me hope that one day when my grief lightens, I will be able to have something like this built as a safe place for future fur babies.

One of the best cat outdoor enclosures I have seen’ I am thinking of updating my humble catio to something like this. I would suggest planting some cat grass in pots and placing inside the catio for the cats to nibble. They love it and it contains essential nutrients for healthy cats. ❤️😻🐈🐾🌱💕😎

Diane Vitale Yes, the grass does help with the fur balls. Whenever one of my cats starts eating grass over food, it’s usually followed by vomiting a fur ball. 🙀🌱😻🙂

Yep. Our catio has the cat grass and catnip as well. Not in pots though; we planted it directly into the ground, and it regrows every spring.

Love and understand animals?! Really? You put animals in a cage while being able to see where they could walk around in if only they would not be put in this catio! To me that comes close to torturing them and that is only done because we put our human ways on them. That has nothing to do with understanding them! Cats are individually living creatures that naturally have their own large territory to roam around in! Mostly at night. They have excellent night vision so they don’t need a ligt. I am not saying that these people do not love their cats, but they seem to put their human ways on them and really forgot the fact that they are cats!

I LOVE it. Love the outdoor litter box. With the cat door exiting to a screened in area, no worries about uninvited guests into the house, like raccoons :) I want this catio attached to a tiny house :)

Yes, check the plants for compatability to cats chewing on them. My cats are always trying to chew on plants they shouldn't. Now I have a plant room they can't go into!! Until spring, then the plants can go out on my porch. Love all the consideration you put into this project!! Enjoy the cat watching!!❤🐈‍⬛🐈

Oh my what beautiful Cats! Great Catio you may want to change the plant you have in there though! Ivy is not safe for cats. some ivy's are more toxic than others. amazing design your cats will love it..we are thinking of doing something like this for our two. really great love it.

Beautiful design and nice view for the cats! I have to agree, however, with some other commenters. Please research plants that are toxic to cats...there are MANY that can cause illness and even death. I would remove the ivy, and some types of ferns are also toxic. Also, the water fountain, unless diligently maintained (a pain to do), is a haven for bacteria, which is not good....stresses the cats' kidneys dealing with it. How about a drip irrigation system, that also waters a tray of cat grass, so they can have fresh water and fresh grass (good for digestion) on a daily basis without a lot of maintenance on your part. The litter box looks like it needs a serious cleaning....again....bacteria haven. Not meaning to be critical. You did wonderful job with the design and the thoughtful touches. I have two cats that have been with me for 15 and 17 years, and I believe daily fresh water, healthy (non-dry) food, access to fresh air and cat grass, have helped keep them healthy.

You’ve obviously done a great job with that catio space. The water fountain is so considerate, since I know that cats love running water. But here’s what is strange to me, you have this backyard gigantic property, and you’ve given only this little to your cats!? I live in an apartment and I dream about my own house, because I want my cats to safely enjoy outdoors and nature! When I get my own house, the whole backyard will be cattified. I will definitely give them a nice playground space. It’s not about how pretty it looks to the human eye, cats don’t care about that. It’s about how much fun they can have and how much they can play in nature.

I love that you did this for your cats! You obviously put in a lot of thought and effort. I especially love the cat paw lights and that you put in pieces of wood and plants. Your home looks like a special place with the barn and outdoor area. Very nice and private. Your cats are adorable! When I lived in Florida I had a nice big, screened pool enclosure and my cats loved it out there. We kept a lot of plants and even some they were allowed to eat. They could watch the birds, squirrels and neighborhood cats and dogs from a safe place. I recently moved to my parent's house in South Carolina and there is no secure outdoor space for them. I feel bad because I know they are bored. They sit in a small room with 2 sets of sliding glass doors to look out at the back yard which has al of trees and is pretty. I need to purchase screens for the doors so they can smell the fresh air and hear the wildlife. It's squirrel city central and my dad has lots of bird houses and feeders outside. The cats love watching the birds and squirrels. Although this home is temporary for me, I'm thinking about building a catio and leaving it for my parents to use for their cat. I think it will be a nice grandfather-daughter-granddaughter project. You have given me a lot to think about. Thank you!
