Before even watching, I wanted to call Arthur Mitchell (aka Trinity) as #1 but I agree with your choice. Yes, Harry gave him a code to satisfy his bloodlust but our man was indeed the most extreme serial killer. Great list.

Trinity still gives me the creeps. John Lithgow played him brilliantly. But Dexter has to be the best serial killer because of the sophistication of his character; deep down he is a good person, he tried hard to fight those dark instincts and put them for the greater good, except you know the last episode of the reboot :( which is of course the writer’s fault

@@TranslatorGuruDee season 4 is considered the best by the majority of fans for good reason. Besides the great writing, Most important is probably because of John Lithgow’s superb performance. Let’s not forget that Trinity was also ‘born in blood’ and his origin story that explained how he became a monster was rather sad, too. It ended on that sad shocking note of Rita in the bathtub dead and Harrison sitting in her blood. Now THATS what you call drama.

Both were born in blood, both serial killers, but what makes Dexter better in my opinion is that he was trained to use this code so that he can control his instincts and use them on people who really deserved it

TOTALLY AGREE...Dexter should put Saxon AND his LAMENESS to rest EARLY and maybe build the last season around "the CANNIBAL." a SNEAKY exercise equipment salesman using the personal information they leave with him, so he can HUNT them... that's WAY BETTER than "deranged son of a psychiatrist who killed her son AND his brother and faked his death to get free and go on a murder spree." Besides...Hannibal Lector has already mainstreamed the ideal of a "cannibal serial killer" so why NOT Dexter's take on that subject?

I liked Lumen so much and wished they would've kept her around (although I understand why they didn't). She and Dexter had a bond and level of understanding that he didn't even share with Rita. Even though her "dark passenger" was gone, it didn't mean that she still couldn't understand why Dexter had his with him. I always think of Julia Stiles in all the teen flicks and RomComs she was known for, but she nailed the role as Lumen. Again, I understand that Dexter needs to be alone, but she was a worthy companion and complimented him. Side note: I'm still traumatized by the side shot of John Lithgow getting into the bathtub, It's like walking in on your grandpa naked..... just NO!!!!!!!!!!

He was not. Dexter made a lot of mistakes and could have killed Trinity many times. As Dexter said "I screwed up and let it come to this". Isaak and Brian both were tougher, and could have killed Dexter more times than Dexter could have killed them.

Scariest thing about Nurse Mary is there are Killer Nurses out there that think they are doing what is best for the patients by killing them, just as there are nurses who put patient's lives at stake so they can come out as a hero by appearing as 'the first one there when the patient starts coding and to respond'. Fortunately those killer nurses are easy to catch because by law hospitals have to keep record of when things happen and that alone tend to cause them to slip up.

Someone will disagree with what I am about to say but I don't particularly care; dexter kind of was the good guy concerning how he stuck to his father's code of going after bad people only; he could have ignored that and went after anyone he wanted at any time, he could have given in to the temptation of killing the security guard his brother had laid before him at the abandoned hospital or his sister at their childhood home but he chose to follow his father's rules despite his own issues with him because deep down he really didn't want to hurt innocent people and season after season was showing him striving to be a better person and was achieving that slowly especially with lumen in season 5, the show's 2 endings was I feel very disappointing because they wrote it and his character all wrong, The writers should have continued adapting his story from the novels for they had tons of potential of doing and successfully pulling off a reverse breaking bad and the blacklist with the character, turning him into his very own sophisticated concierge of crime fighting with a vast network of resources at his disposal to help him hunt those that escape justice while keeping him 2 steps ahead of the people he works for in law enforcement who feels and views himself as the "the bad guy" that doesn't believe he can change but doesn't want to disappoint his father, his best friend angel, his wife, kids and sister by giving up trying with case after case and ultimate showdowns with the main antagonist of the season pushing him further and further down the path of being a honorable, righteous and semi-heroic individual with new blood being his swan song where he sacrifices himself to save his son, his son's girlfriend along with his own girlfriend from Kurt Caldwell, his son and the billionaire character they had in there that was serving as a red herring, have it where he had a connection to kurt and was involved somehow in covering up his secret of being the runaway killer and Dexter dying to end their threat once and for all thus earning his redemption which brings his story arc full circle with him ultimately breaking good!💯🔥😁😉👍

Oh boy oh boy. Where do I begin with the massive flaws and inaccuracies with this video. Let's go in order. 1. Lumen is NOT a serial killer. For starters, she personally only killed Jordan Chase. She saw Dexter kill the first guy (who she shot but didn't kill) That was her only victim. Doesn't qualify her as a "serial killer". Murderer, yes. 1 body doesn't qualify you as a serial killer. 2. Based on body count, years active along with intelligence and influence to continue (if not for Dexter) Kurt Caldwell should be MUCH higher. 3. The Skinner was the weakest seasonal antagonist ever. He's a 5-3 little man who hides in trees and got his neck snapped with ease the minute he got into any confrontation. 4. Oliver Saxon is the WORST CHARACTER EVER throughout the entire series. Season 8 was bad enough. But go ask any Dexter enthusiasts, watch any Dexter "worst of" list...... it's unanimous that Saxson, as an actor, a character, a personality, a foe, was the worst primary villain of the series. 5. Dexter at #1. Such a cop out. Dexter is his own. You don't put the protagonist on a list with all the antagonist. Booooooooo! Arthur Mitchell is clear #1. Dexter shouldn't even be on here.

The first few seasons are some of the best TV ever. Right up with The Sopranos and Breaking Bad. It got a little weird later on, but those first seasons were so good. This show captures the essence of Miami a way few shows capture their setting. The music, the culture, the food, and the water are all at the heart of Miami. And this series shows them off in a way you don't always see. The setting is almost it's own character. And it's great.

I think The Trinity Killer was number 2 cause he had different ranges of victims, although I would've like to see Brian Moser on number two cause he was onto Dexter since episode one, rooting and following Dexter at all times and finally achieved to meet him. The room filled with blood, the nails on ice, the victims, even managed to kidnap Debra. I consider he was a top tier character.

One killer not identified is Harry Morgan. It was Harry's ego that forced Laura Moser to her own death. It was Harry Morgan who tore apart two loving brothers, raising one to be the Bay Harbor Butcher and the other, without "the code," to act on his passion becoming the Ice Truck Killer while cheating on his wife and ignoring his own daughter. Harry Morgan set in motion two monsters the world would regret. Yet, the real monster was Harry Morgan.

Lil Chino aint a serial killer. I don't think assasins or enforcers can be considered serial killers. Chopping them up is about disposal. I'm not sure if chopping up bodies is necessarily a part dexter particularly enjoys.
