I know it's been said a million times but the Savile scandal was not just a scandal it was one of the most horrendous ville crimes in British history, still in 2022 the powers that be won't acknowledge what he did regardless of the documentaries. The depth of his crimes over decades is almost unbelievable, and as we all know he was highly protected within the BBC and government. many many people came forward over the years but not one single victim got any justice, most of his victims are still alive it doesn't matter if he's dead the establishment that actively enabled him to carry out those atrocities have done barely anything and again Savile is possibly the most overtly serial pedophiles in Britain flaunting it in front of the British public, unfortunately the majority of the government do not seem to grasp how serious this still is.

A TV licence was traditional in the late 1940s and early 1950s . If an enforcement officer comes to your door politely ask them to wait, close the door and leave them in the futile hope that you will return. The time they waste on your doorstep means that they are not harassing weak minded people

Maybe another video could look at some of the worst things The Sun has done. Number one would definitely be the paper's reaction to the Hillsborough Disaster in 1989. Even though the reports of what happened that terrible day, what was supposed to be the FA Cup Semi-Final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, indicated police mismanagement as the primary cause of what happened, The Sun, particularly its senior editor, Kelvin McKenzie, threw in its lot with the line being towed by the South Yorkshire Police Federation. With a front page headline saying "The Truth," it made monstrously false allegations of how Liverpool fans, pickpocketed the dead, urinated on emergency responders, broke into the game when they didn't have tickets and in essence led to the denigration of those who died, saying that they were responsible for their own deaths. It took nearly 3 decades for the actual truth to emerge, even though the disaster had been caught on camera.

@@chelle2785 it's like one of the reporters who originally reported on what happened at Hillsborough in 1989 said in a 2013 documentary titled "Hillsborough: how they buried the truth", "Hillsborough was a disaster like no other. It was captured by 8 BBC cameras. The police had CCTV and a mobile camera unit. The BBC footage was later released to the police and the victims lawyers and then locked away, considered 'too distressing for broadcast'. 24 years on we've been able to analyse it. It reveals how things went wrong from the start at Hillsborough and continued going wrong for longer than has ever been admitted," Stephanie Jones, one of those who survived what happened at Hillsborough, gave her reaction to The Sun's infamous headline: "You've no idea how much that has haunted me over the years, and how much that has deeply, deeply hurt me, how anyone could think that, they're virtually blaming me for killing my brother and his girlfriend,"

For me, apart from these instances, one of the most egregious decisions is to bring back BBC3 for broadcast while scrapping BBC4. The BBC’s constant chasing of a shrinking market which doesn’t and is unlikely ever to pay the TV licence, while treating those who do with increasing contempt, has led me to decide to cancel my licence when BBC4 is taken off the air. It simply no longer produces programmes I want to watch. I’ll be streaming documentaries and other interesting content from other channels, providers and KZbin from that point on, after paying my TV licence diligently from the age of 18.

@@superdrwholock jodie whittaker was wrong for the role. its clear as day that she did not have the ability to play such a character and as such she came across as a poor immitation. jodie whittaker is like a symptom for an illness, the illness being the rot that was chris chibnal. we all know though that when an illness gets better the symptoms generally go away and that sometimes in order to help an illness we treat the symptoms and not the cause. I prefer to treat the illness and get rid of chibbers and then the symptoms will go too (jodie whittaker and the fam). the only reason chibbers cast her was because she was a woman and he wanted to do something never done before to get PR. he thought that the PR would naturally bring people back and all would be well again. The casting also acted as a shield in such a social political climate, criticism could be bashed down very easily but we all knew it was going terribly. In 1987 they had the good sense to reject a female doctor as a radical idea with a great deal of risk attatched on a show that was at the time under performing. the BBC showed no sense when it came to chibnal and simply wanted to gamble what the show had left after the fan divisions previous and failing ratings of capaldi

I have one. There was a brilliant comedy show in the 70's called "The Goodies". It starred Tim Brooke-Taylor, Graeme Garden and Bill Oddie, and the show became a cult classic in Australia and other countries. All, except the UK. The BBC didn't like some of the material and showed it once, and never showed it again in the UK. Good Afternoon Ms Holmes, I'm very curious, I'm actually a U.S Citizen but I've recently began following your region's news. My condolences for the loss of your Queen. If you don't mind I'd love to ask your take on something regarding the new King Charles and that awful snake Savile. Someone mentioned he and Charles were close friends, as an actual local, do you know any truth to that? I'm trying to get an idea of what kind of man Charles is and what kind of King he will be but my personal research is difficult. So much is in regards to Princess Diana (my mom adored her, she cried for days following her passing). I figured a good start would actually be asking someone who is local and is unbiased, as in not a journalist or out for profit. I apologize if my reply is inappropriate and I understand if it goes unanswered. My own mom was quite obsessed with Princess Diana so she left me with a negative view of the royal family and I'd much rather have a more clear idea. It seems many knew Savile's dirty secrets and helped hide them for a while, could King Charles have known? I don't know how much power/pull the Royal family has exactly but I'd guess enough to help a friend. I don't want to slander anyone of course, just trying to get a better understanding. Thank you, Sincerely, your friend from across the pond.

@@vixxxenfoxxx3660 It's always been public knowledge in Britain that being royalty means they're above the law, so criminals try to get in favour with the royals to get the same protection by associating with them. Saville, Epstein and other notorious pedophiles hung out with the royals and invited them to lavish parties as this could cover them, knowing that any scandal involving the royals is automatically hushed up, so they could get away with it. Epstein got too greedy and was killed in jail to stop him revealing all the celebs and royals he procured underage kids for.

@@BarryLetts379 that makes pretty good sense. I'm more than sure we can add politicians to Epstein's nasty list. I refuse to believe my own government is innocent in that whole pedo ring. Epstein's death really intrigued me. I got my start working in a morgue, unfortunately in those 4 years I helped prepare 7 cadavers that were brought in from similar situations. His body matched strangulation victims moreso than hanging ones. I'm no expert, I merely assisted but I would swear on my life I know this to be true. Epstein did not commit suicide, unless you count murder as assisted suicide. He knew too much about too many powerful people and we all know powerful people can pull some powerful strings...or should we say bedsheets?

I'd bump TV Licensing up to number 2. As someone who legitimately didnt require a license for over 10 years, the harrassment I received during that period is inexcusable. It's like having the police constantly sending you letters and knocking on your door threatening you with what will happen if you commit a crime. The technology has been available for years for the BBC to only give access to those who pay and not to others, but they choose not to use it. They don't even need to go down the ad route, just pay per view would do. But it's much more profitable not to compete fairly and instead force the UK public to owe them a living.
