talking about tanks for the memory, I realized it has a lot to do with the 5 stages of grief: Denial: Rainbow dash denies that tank actually is going to hibernate Anger: Rainbow Dash begins yelling at shouting at her friends Bargaining (bit of a stretch): Rainbow Dash tries to stop the ponies from making winter so Tank won't hibernate Depression: Rainbow Dash refuses to talk to her friends, and then cries for about 3-5 minutes Acceptance: Rainbow Dash accepts that Tank will hibernate and lets him. Amazing work animators, for not only teaching us a lesson, but making the biggest tearjerker of the whole show

This episode absolutely destroyed me, especially considering I had two pets die. I had been trying to make a life of my own only to fail twice, so I was already bummed out. When I came home both times to find out, I broke down hard. Seeing this episode, I lost it to the point that I had to leave the room. It was the saddest moment I had in a while. I got mad at myself for not being there to spend their last days with them, to tell them everything was going to be ok. To hold them, pet them, anything. I felt horrible. But in the end I had to let go. It was the only thing I could do.

+Slender100 Gaming The way Diamond Tiara acts like her mother is actually scientific. In Psychology, we call that social learning theory of aggression modeling. Diamond Tiara learned her behavior from her mother, as well as her society. As Diamond was abused, basically, she started abusing the CMC. Once she learned that there was another way, she started realizing what she was doing to the CMC, and that it was wrong. It all comes down to science. :3

Tanks for the memories hit me hard because I had to go through the slow process of losing my father to cancer. I was greatly moved by the symbolism of the episode and it is one of the best ways to talk to children about death without having to kill a character on the show.

No matter how many times I watch it. I still get teary eyed when ever I watch the CMCs get there cutie mark, and the We've made out make reprise. Best moment im the series in my opinion. we've seen them develop so much throughout the series, more than anypony else. And it's just so heart warming to see there hard work finally payoff. CMCs FOREVER!

the fifth season has been the best!!!!! Oh yeah, and the day the crusaders of lost mark came out, a brony channel posted the scene of the cmc getting their cutiemarks BEFORE I even watched the episode, so I was annoyed bout that..... But I still cried the frist time I watched the first episode, mostly cause of the whole Applejack thing that she said

There could be no doubt what the #1 would be. I started typing this before the reveal even came up. Crusaders of the Lost Mark as a whole was just an incredible episode, one of the best episodes of any animated series, not just MLP.

Looking back on this list, The Magic Inside (I say) is still the strongest song out of all the previous ones before it. It even influenced me to resume my piano lessons and my comeback was that song itself!

Do we even have to argue over the best moment?It's no surprise.😂 The crew happened to be able to release an episode right on the five-year anniversary of My little pony generation 4,so they thought, 'You know what,since this coincidental moment only happens once in like,7 years,let's finally give in,and give the biggest surprise to our wonderful fans.' And this,was probably one of the most well-timed events to ever happen.I personally think that nothing,and I really mean NOTHING in the future of this generation of my little pony,can ever be as important,surprising,and definitely can't be as touching as this one moment.

I don't think anyone was surprised at what was chosen for #1! By the time that magnificent episode ended, my face was actually hurting because the entire last 6- 7 minutes of it had me grinning ear to ear! A scene I'd include that wasn't on your list would be Discord's stand- up comedy act from 'Meet New Friends, But Keep Discord.' His act brilliantly references Eddie Murphy, Jerry Seinfeld, Rodney Dangerfield, and Gallagher all in a single scene, features a bit of VERY funny heckling from Maud, and ends with a very clever nod to 'The Shining.' Great scene to a great episode.

Do princess dream of magic sheep means a lot to me because it helped teach me to expect my past I had depression and my arms are covered in scars from self harm so I only wore long sleeves until the episode helped me accept my past and scars

Season 5 was the best, and this list is too! There's only 2 things I would have added: 1. Big Mac shares his feelings to Applebloom. (Brotherhooves Social) It made me cry. Not just because of how heartfelt it was, but it was the most he's spoken in quite some time. 2. "Winter is coming" (Tanks for the Memories) as an honorable mention. Game of Thrones and MLP....Awesome.

I still cry every time I watch Crusaders of the Lost Mark. Interesting fact: the Crusaders getting their cutie marks happened 5 years, DOWN TO THE MINUTE, after the three first appeared huddled together in fright from Nightmare Moon in the premiere episode. Actually, Diamond Tiarra's "The Pony I Want to Be" and "Rara"'s "The Magic Inside" are unquestionably my favorite moments, perhaps not even just in the season but in the entire franchise. "Tanks for the Memories" was also a fantastic one, although I favor that one a lot more now than I normally do because it's helping me get over my own pet's death.

Does.. anybody else realize that in one season two Unicorns express that they went through the same tragedy as Twist? Starlight Glimmer was abandoned when her friend got his cutie mark first. Twist was abandoned by Bloom when Twist got her mark. Same thing happened for the opposite reason. And of course the circumstances where Twilight got busy and forgot her best friend Moon Dancer was exactly how Bloom treated her relationship with Twist.
