Retro Goodness! The Vulcain Nautique Skindiver-now on bracelet!

Hey all. This is the Vulcain Nautique Skindiver, and while it is on the relatively new bracelet, its not the latest version with the white lume paint on the dial and hands, but this is my first time with a Vulcain in hand and I have to say, I was very, very impressed, so watch the video to find out why!

@@watchreport yes, I've been a fan since it came out. The finishing really is what kept it in my collection. Sold my 65 and never looked back.

It’s nice to hear from someone that had a 65 as well, which I used a direct comparison in this video. I think Oris makes a great product, but for a vintage looking no crown diver, I feel this Vulcain has it beat, especially with the addition of the bracelet.

@@watchreport I had the regular Arabic dial 65, none of the special editions and all that. I personally think it wore way bigger than 40mm which ultimately I felt didn't suit the style of the watch. I owned it for 4 years before getting the vulcain and the vulcain imo blows it away.

Beautiful watch, lots of history but no lume on the bezel markers is a no-go imo.

I am surprised you are not a fan of full tapering brackets (4mm or more of taper). Is it because you prefer beefier watches and/or, like me, you come from that older era of post 2000s watches where bracelets only tapered 2mm or none at all? For me, a drastic tapering bracelet offers superior comfort and wrist articulation.

I do come from that older era but I have grown to appreciate smaller watches and tapered bracelets but I think here it’s the come of the small diameter of the watch and the drastic taper combined. I think if it only tapered to 18 or if it was a 40 with a 20mm to 18 taper I would like it much more. As it is, it feels too thin for my liking though it was very pleasant to wear.

As much as I think I can pull it off I still would love at least a 40mm, if not 41. I personally don’t see this in a size larger than that as to me it would be too big for the vintage style but that of course is purely subjective.

Very nice but a bit to small 42mm and I'd buy i am a big man and it would be very small on my wrist people come in different sizes why not watches how many sales are lost because a watch is to small or to big people should be able to pick the size that suits them
