It could be argued that the delicate nature of the Chanel classic flap is what makes it a luxury, in contrast to Coach having better functionality. Then around 2015 with new creative director they reinvented themselves and I've been addicted since then. I have Chanel, Gucci, LV, Chloe, and other "luxury" bags but my coach bags are my go to...I feel comfortable and safe carrying them at all times. This is true for Coach retail only IMO and the leather versions not the canvas and logo stuff. Although the canvas is good quality it just reeks of that cheap late 1990’s-2000’s Coach that I hated. For the longest time, Coach wasn't appealing to me... it seemed kind of ghetto to be honest. Then I started watching those leather review videos from Tanner Leatherstein on KZbin and was completely captivated by this man ripping high-end bags apart to see what we're really paying for. Over and over these ultra "high-end" brands underperformed on quality and carried exorbitant price tags. It was a reality check. To this day I don't believe Coach has performed poorly in his product testing. In fact, Coach is so confident in their products they now voluntarily send him bags to analyze. It took a minute to breakdown my bias against Coach, but I'm now working with an open mind. I'm buying and gifting them now and it's been a remarkably pleasant experience. I was wrong and I'm happy to admit that.

Vintage COACH, early 1990's was a brand that if you know, YOU KNOW. What I would consider "quiet luxury". Excellent leather craftsmanship with a great history. Apart from the hangtag that said COACH, (if you knew the brand), you recognized the styles and knew it was Coach. My very first "luxury" bag was the COACH Wallis. Not Willis, Wallis. It was a simple all leather, dark navy crossbody half moon flap bag (postman's lock) with a back slit pocket, all brass hardware. Made in the USA. I still have it to this day. My next 4 Coach bags were all made in the USA. Fast forward to early 2000's when Coach switched gears and started plastering their "C" logo everywhere and suddenly production was moved to China. They LOST me as a customer and I never shopped Coach again. Whoever took over back then, ruined the brand (to me) with quirky logos that catered to teen-somethings equating the brand to Michael Kors which I detest. Coach had lost their way. They should go back to their roots, bring production back to the USA and get RID of the "C" logo

I have been faithful to Coach . I love there retail bags and I still have bags I purchased back in the 80’s. The outlet bags are cute but I will always purchase Coach retail . I have tons of luxury brand bags but Coach is a true classic quality staple

I have several Coach bags a Brand I love! Respectfully I do not call it Luxury, I buy Coach because of great quailty. I notice a lot of YT peeps buying Coach because it's a trend. I do not buy for trends or to keep up with anyone. I do not own any Michael Kors I just never cared for the bags. I own many Coach Vintage bags and the leather is exceptional.

Vintage coach, like the Willis bag, those coach bags were solid and well made. My mom used to wear them, and the leather felt thick and sturdy. Today’s bags are better than what they were 8 years ago or so, leather wise and style wise. But I will never pay full price for Coach these days, having paid full price in the past, I think it makes more sense to wait because most likely it will be on sale at some point. A big fan of the Cassie 19 and the Soft Tabby Shoulder bag.

I had a Willis bag in the 90’s A couple of years ago I hunted down a vintage Willis that was beat up. I took it to my leather guy and it looks amazing. The quality is unmatched

Mid-range, decent quality for the price. I have several Coach bags and enjoy them a lot. I’m not a fan of the classic canvas but their leather is nice. I’d definitely rank them above MK. I can use the heck out of them and they hold up.

I’m loving my Coach Quilted Tabby 26 in black leather with brass hardware. It’s a double flap bag and just gorgeous quality for $550. I get compliments almost every time I wear it. I prefer the Coach Retail over Coach Outlet, but there’s a lot of bang for the buck at both stores.

I bought the coach Selena Grace bag in red brand spanking new and I still cherish it to this day. It was after I hit a huge milestone at work. I saw the bag before I ever even knew it was Selena’s. That was just a huge bonus.

Purchased Brooklyn 39 full price. Certain new drops sell out quickly if you wait. The Rowan satchel in leather is gorgeous. I love my Speedy bags but the Empriente is so expensive now. The Rowan in leather is a great alternative. Enjoyed the video.

Coach is making a come back! I bought the soft tabby in CC denim, and it is super cute! I love the quality, they always arrive in factory packaging and the leather on the pillow quilted bags are so buttery. Love the quality vs price.

I have one bag (tote willow) purchased last year and I'm very happy with the quality and design... I have Chanel and Prada too, but this one is my every day bag for the office.

I love the Rogue in the soft pebbled leather it is gorgeous! I also, love the new quilted tabby, the leather and craftsmanship is stunning. I also have the traditional “luxury” brands and am here to say Coach is definitely showing up and giving back to this community.

I love Coach! The quality is fantastic. I only shop the retail boutique. Not the outlet. I feel like I’m getting away with something at their prices. Lol PS I love Winnie B. Glad yall are friends. Of course!!! Cuz you’re both dope AF! I think you would love the coach Rogue in all leather cuz it doesn’t have any logo except on a tiny hang tag. I have paid full price for coach bags that never seem to go on sale. Lol

I had/have Chanel, LV, Celine, etc but my favorite is Coach especially after 2020. I couldn't care less if something is "luxury" or not. Coach is a great brand, I don't have to babysit and handle it with gloves on.

The leather feeling might be good and of high quality which is really ok for the price. Tried ma y times an approach to check the Coach bag. But something keeps me off from them, I don't know what it is, the logo " tacky" for my taste doesn't make the bag elegant.

Compare the Coach leather heart bag to the Chanel heart bag. You will be blown away that Coach has the better bag. It's crazy how they have to still prove themselves.

Love vintage coach and that the brand is releasing bags with a nod to their roots like the rambler or Kip turnlock. It’s def not cringe and the service I receive is more “luxurious” than Chanel or Hermes.

Agreed. Just bought a reissue glove tanned leather bag. Beautiful.

Paid full price at the couch store (not outlet) for a Mickey Mouse bucket hat. Sold out in minutes and the bucket hat was never shipped to the outlet. The callab collections are amazing and lucrative.

Coach is a quality bag. Particularly vintage Coach. No drama, no worries. 💗🌺👜

My Coach bags are holding up better than some of my more expensive bags. But the older I’m getting I don’t like the amount of logos on a lot of the bag however they have several options that are just leather no logo. I agree with the person who commented that it’s a great brand to carry around town and not worry as much about safety.

I bought Coach in the 80's, when I was right out of school. I always thought that they were "starter bags" but I haven't been in coach store in a long time. I guess I'm missing out. NanZ

You make a great point about price versus quality and if paying more means better quality. I have a leather coach bag that I got 20 years ago that I love for when I’m going out for the night. A small simple square that zips and can be crossbody for ease of wear. I don’t enjoy their canvas material or the “CC’s” all over the bag. That looks quite dated and tacky to me. Whenever I pass their store at the mall, the designs look classy and chic and I’m close to picking up a new handbag to them over Gucci, who I also love.

Years ago my ex-colleague’s sister worked in Coach logistics department. She told me that Coach moved its entire production line to Vietnam. Hence, whether it is a luxury brand or not is very subjective, but one thing I am sure is that their bags’ production costs are very low compared to other luxury brands.

I believe you, I don’t think coach price matches the quality it feels cheap to me.
@kokoromarudi77179 ай бұрын
You're right, and knowing how dirt cheap it really is to produce these bags in China and Vietnam (no environmental/labor regulations, etc.) their "affordable" price is actually very overpriced for what you get.

I love Coach. The quality is great and classic styles mixed with modern. I have used my medium sized Chanel flap bag 3 times and I bought it 2 years ago. I am scared to use it for fear of it being stolen or damaged! Never again

I have never had a craving for a Coach bag even if I always browse my local boutique and boutiques when I travel. I don't know what it is about the brand that doesn't have that FOMO as other brands (personally). I am currently obsessed with Etro (need Vela mini or medium bag, although I don't like the lining which is like raw leather but the style is everything I'm loving right now, but for the price, I'd expect a little more). And what's with almost triple the price for men bag's (what's wrong with you Etro?). Anyway, Coach is not luxury at all in my file. It's like I keep looking for a bag that I feel the need to have but I never find it.

I like some of their perfumes, I even love one or two of them a lot. I think they're called "blush" and "floral blush" with the little flower charm on them. "Floral blush" is a floral fragrance with very good sillage and longevity. And that is rather rare for fresh, floral fragrances. But it's true that their bags are always on sale in Austria where I live. It reminds a lot on Michael Kors but nicer and with less bling bling. But I think it's really only their bags and small leather stuff that are always on sale.
@NothingHereNothingThere9 ай бұрын
Coach has it's own history, many of their current styles are drawn from those vintage bags rather than copying LV, Chanel, Hermes though there are those too. Their customer service if not always perfect is not on a downward spiral like the high end brands or trendy companies like Polene. They are trying to add mid-level customization, not quite full bespoke but still possibility to pay for a unique bag, and swapping out handles and straps. I don't like big logos and not one of my Coach bags have big logos, sometimes it's just on the removable hangtags. I have purchased original full price but less than on sale. But these days they are limiting productions to sell out before going on sale. They are value for quality in every day bags.

Hey dacob i really love this topic because it hits home for me. I remember shopping @ coach in college and living downtown Chicago going into the Michigan ave store to buy my luxury items. It was such a treat for me, In which I still have 1 piece from then. I think over the years the quality has always remained the same and consistent to date. Yes I believe it has kind of stepped down from being a high end luxury brand to affordable Luxury in my opinion. Which honestly if the quality never changes and the consistency remains, it plays into the consumers favor, because we get it @ sale price for a quality product. Coach does have still those products such as bags and ready to wear which are higher end luxury made and absolutely with quality materials and crafted to last long but over all there products as a whole all are. I can definitely say I am a coach collector, i collect more signature pieces that are as close to one of kind as possible meaning once they sell out u won’t find them again. To me that’s luxury, I have bags that I have had for 3 years plus, and are still in such great condition. I would love to post a video for u showing all my coach bags that I have collected over the years 🎉🎉🎉❤
