I think it’s interesting that merchants like Target, Walmart and Amazon are gracious and accommodating when you want to return something, and the design houses where you paid a hundred times the price are rude and try to imply that any defects are the fault of the client. Yes, I know that those places sell in high volume for low prices so the returns are not a huge deal to them, but I’m talking about the difference in customer service. It’s disgraceful that we have to be worried when we spend a lot of money for an item (supposedly to get higher quality) that there might be something wrong with it and they won’t want to give us our money back.

Valuable content again ❤ I popped into Coach on a whim yesterday and spent a good deal of time looking at the merchandise and experiencing the store. I was impressed! The construction and materials were excellent, thoughtful design, the store was beautifully presented, the staff well trained. It was a really enjoyable experience and I left with a purchase. The declining quality of luxury has really got the gears turning in my head. How much coolaid am I willing to swallow?

My Levi’s sneakers broke down after 8 months. It tore and it was a production error, no doubt. So I wrote to Levi’s themselves. Not the store where I bought it as it was on a holiday abroad and didn’t have a receipt any more. They send me brand new sneakers. That’s how it’s done.

@@SuperDacob Me too 🙂 But this should really be the norm, no matter what the item costs. The fact that they're so difficult when you pay 1000s for defunct items is ridiculous. Especially when it's clearly a manufactural error like your shoes or the Chanel bag('s). It's 🤯

I’m so sorry this happened to you, Dacob. What a shame! Horrible customer service! Me myself, I’d send the boots to Rose Anvil on KZbin. He cuts shoes in half and talks about quality of materials. He’s already put Carhartt, Birkenstock, Yeezys and Balenciaga on blast…but you wouldn’t have to cut them in half to do that anyway 💅 It’s so disappointing to see quality disappearing from luxury. Has luxury just become hype? To go worn once and no more than once? Hasn’t always been this way.

there's very little design in fashion design. a shoe is an object. it should be made by an industrial designer who would make calculations and tests. but are there designers in fashion brands? and there's no time, we just need something pretty for the store in six months. that's how we end-up with bags with metal parts that scratch their own leathers, or zips that hurt the hands of women when they grab inside. people have grown accustomed to it.

This is so ridiculous, I feel like we live in a new society that this happens WAY too much! Why can't designers stand behind their products, good or bad. Design is trial and error. If at first you don't succeed, apologize, acknowledge the flaw and move on....uhhhh. I would have given your money back instantly. Obviously the shoes had not been worn, the shoes looked like a trainwreck and the shoes had been commented on by several other associates...so wtf gives? Sorry my friend. Thank you for sharing.
@gen_o Жыл бұрын
You should have brought Dr. Scher (of GP trial fame) to explain the physics and biomechanics of it all to the store manager, complete with simulated animation! 😅 On a serious note, hope you got your shots and pictures retained as evidence, Dacob, and this will eventually be resolved.
@garssympa500 Жыл бұрын
If you've ever watched Trenton & Heath, two of the best cobblers on KZbin, they always tell us not to buy designer shoes. They're cheaply made. They use mostly glue instead of stitching. I wouldn't wear designer shoes if they were given to me. Stick to tried and true shoe manufacturers. (See their channel).
