I can’t thank you enough for this video. I have zero knowledge, skills or confidence when it comes to fixing anything. We had the same problem today and because of your video I was able to fix the problem. In pre quarantine times I probably would have ordered a new machine immediately. Your video saved me.

Truth great that it helped. I have been working on fixing appliances in these quarantine times. I will post a few more detailed videos which I find other videos generally skip as they might seem easy to the regulars but contain the finer points which help novice like us!! Stay safe!

Thank you for this video! My step-dad found it for me and passed it along and then came and helped me get a little washcloth out of the hose under the soap dispenser. Such an easy fix.

Thank you for this video! I will one up the you all, I did find a sock; however, I found an elmo toy as well. My son had that 4 years ago. Moreover, really taking this thing apart really shows you how simple and powerful these machines really are. Great tutorial, I enjoyed fixing this one.

Thank you so much!!! I searched and searched and found your post. I almost called a repair person. A pair of underwear was stuck at the bottom of the hose and water was spitting out of the detergent dispenser. I can usually fix most things thanks to posts on youtube and I had almost given up on this one. Once I got the top and front of the washer disassembled, I was able to unclamp the water hose from the detergent dispenser and pull the culprit right out. Great explanations, won't have to miss any work due to waiting for repair person and then double the trouble by having to pay someone for doing something so easily done myself. You rock! Thanks again:)

Thank you very much for your detailed video. It helped me to get familiar with the inner workings of the dispenser drain. We had a hankerchief wedged up in the dispenser drain hose where it connects to the outer drum. By pulling back the rubber bellow we were able to see the garment and pull it out without removing any parts of the washer. Thanks again!

Great video! Thank you, you saved me hundreds of dollars. The hose was blocked exactly where you describe it. Found you had to take one more screw on the right side of the dispenser drawer to pull it out. Thanks again for the putting this here.

Thanks for the post!!! Found the item blocking the hose right away and got the machine up and running again. Huge help!

Thanks for the video. Definitely try to get your hand into the space between the gasket and the drum and see if there is any blockage before pulling your machine apart. You need a thin pair of hands but at about 10 o'clock is where the water fills into the drum. We too had a sock all jammed up in there - may need to use something to help snake/negotiate the blockage out. Good luck and thanks everyone for sharing! Also be sure your detergent tray is clean - especially where the fabric softener dispenses - tends to gum up in there too.

thank you sooooooo much. I read all comments and watched the video as I had water gushing from the dispenser. I have my dryer sitting on top of my washer so a quick check that I did before taking everything apart was to run my hand along the inside of the drum and the rubber gasket in the upper left hand corner and lo and behold there was a sock stuck up there. I pulled it out and now it runs great. Thanks!!!!

Thankyou so much for this video ! We had the same problem, water coming out of the front from Soap dispenser. This is what we did , we saw a video of how to remove the door seal and then removed the rubber bellow just from the front part . On the left where the black hose is connected to the drum (comes from the soap dispenser) , we unplugged it and found the sock !!! Then we plugged the hose back into the drum and resealed the rubber seal, It is very very easy.

Thanks for sending me down the right path! Word of advice, though: before you start this task, try doing a quick spin & drain cycle. In my case, whatever may have been blocking the pipe when I started my load - most likely a previously lost sock living between the walls of the drum - was nowhere to be seen when I disassembled everything and took off the inlet hose. The original problem was certainly resolved. Instead, however, I now have a small leak inside the machine cabinet when I do a cycle. I think I'm going to have to take everything apart again and check the hose connections - but not today!

Great help, thanks! Found the sock. When you are doing this repair, you want to make sure you remember where all of the screws go, and that there are two types, so remember or mark which goes where.

Yse, thank you for the video. It confirmed my suspicion. For anyone who also searched kenmore dispenser, for my model, after you removed the top front panel (clip on, with one star shape screw front), the metal plate (4 screw on top, 4 screws on front), the diepensor (one star shaped screw on top, and one star shaped screw on front). pick up the dispenser and pull the tube from the bottom by squeezing it at the end. You should see something there. I have a sock at the connection. :)

Thanks for this video. We had a sock in the hose underneath the dispenser leading to the drum. I did take the dispenser out as shown in the video, but in the end could have saved the time as I was able to pull the sock out from inside. Run your fingers along the upper left arc of the door/drum gasket and see if there's any clothing you can pull out.

Thanks! Very helpful. I had overloaded the washer & that allowed a small sock to get out of the drum between the lining. I found a sock in the rubber lining as well, but that did not fix the problem. I ran my finger in the narrow gap between the drum and behind the rubber lining, and felt the sock on the upper left hand corner. This sock was wedged and constricted the flow thru the rubber hose from the dispenser. This required some effort to pull out. I did not have to take out the dispenser

Thanks for the video--indeed we had a sock lodged at the lower end of the soap inlet hose. As described in other comments, I probably could have gotten to it from the space behind the gasket--rather than taking the top off, however it was a good learning experience.

Perfect, this did the trick. A big old sock stuck right inside after I pulled the hose out. My washer had been knocking for quite some time before it started leaking and I had to use medium spin otherwise the sound was unbearable on high setting. I couldn't figure out what the issue was but since the washer was working I figured I'd use it until she blew up or something. Sounds good now so apparently that was the issue. Make sure you pull the whole front panel off to make sure the hose fits back in correctly. Thanks for the video!

Hi great video,BEFORE you take everything apart I used a plastic snake with the grabby points (what you use to pull hair out of a drain) and put it between the rubber and the drum on the upper left side and moved it around and it grabbed a pair of underwear. PROBLEM SOLVED. YAY!!!

I wanted to echo all the other many comments. Sock stuck right where the detergent/water tube enters the drum. I still can't fathom how the heck it gets there even after reading many of the comments, but I'll know where to look for missing socks the next time! Poor dryer, it's been getting all the blame! My favorite part the whole thing is after removing the bottom panel (I did this in order to loosen the main front panel enough to ensure I was able to get the tube re-inserted into the drum properly) I find a "For Technician Only Diagnositic and Troubleshooting Guide" in a ziploc bag taped to the inside of the panel!!!!!! What a scam! Thank goodness for this series of tubes we call the Internet and great people who take the time to make these videos and inspire a bunch of people to save a ton of money and screw the system that hides information from its consumers in order to charge them hundreds of dollars for something that anybody with a ratchet set and the right torx bit can do.

Either the top or the bottom as for as the hose that brings water into the tub or drains water out will be clogged if you're leaking water check your hose at top of washer for water draining out of the detergent dispensary.check bottom drain for water drainage from the bottom of washer if bottom is leaking, just that simple.
