Don't use pods detergent in your LG washer. I had the same issue took the blue dispenser out and surely the skins from the pods were added up and clogged the whole!!! Thanks for the video.

Thank you for this video. You have the exact same washer I have. I was glad to find this. I think I’ll try drilling a hole before buying a new dispenser. Do you know what is actually happening and why the hole solves the problem? I’m curious why it started happening so many years after working just fine.

Did it work by drilling the hole on the tray? I have right know the same problem thinking tha pressure of the wather was weak and opened up the washer but everything I saw was correct, nothing clogged but the amount of water going out on the side of the detergent was less and left some detergent as mentioned here and wanted to know if you drilled the little hole and worked so I can do the same. As an appliance repairman, theres always going to be water in there unless the unit hasnt been used in awhile. What happens is you put in detergent and then you close the lid, it fills up with water and then it makes it over flow down the straw looking piece and so the water pushes out the detergent. The only hole is the one down the tube so theyll never be dry. Unless like you did, bought the new part's or you can drill in a small hole

The company replaced my whole drawer for no charge and I received it delivered to my door two days later. But was still frustrating dealing with this problem for the past few weeks and having to take the time to call to report the problem.

I've discovered that the softener dispenser section is dispensing into the wash cycle instead of the rinse cycle. Has anyone else had this problem? I was thinking of simply lowering the water pressure is a machine. It seems the water pressure might be emptying everything out of the tray at once and that lower flow rate might keep the fill water confined to its intended section.
