I pick all the dandelions from our yard. Eat the greens with olive oil and vinegar. Then soak and wash the roots for one day over night. Dry them out, then put them in my roaster. After that I grind them to a fine powder. Great to add to coffee or make tea.

You’re a genius! Write a book!! I tried the magnesium and dandelion root cause I couldn’t lose weight while on hormone replacement. It worked! 7 lbs lost already in 1 week. I know it’s all water but when I gained it, it was because of the hormone replacement. I noticed I wasn’t urinating as much. They told me I’d gain a lot of water weight because progestin and estrogen cause the body to hold water. It’s almost all gone. Thanks so much for helping me.

I hate putting on water weight. I know the weight that I put on recently is water weight, because I watch everything carefully in my diet, to the point of worrying over the number of calories in that one meal of the day. For example: for breakfast, I only consume around 250-300 calories. I try to keep it consistent, so the majority of calories I consume are in my lunch and in my dinner. For the past year I have kept my weight a consistent 180 pounds. I stepped on the scale several days ago and I weigh 185 pounds! I also measured my waist and typically my waist is 36 inches. My waist is currently 34 inches. How can someone loose two inches from their waist, but put on five pounds? This has got to be water- weight!

Thomas, great video but I have to disagree with your statement that most people get enough potassium. That is simply not true. Potassium is the most important electrolyte and we need 4700 to 6000 mgs. That's 7 to 10 cups of salad a day minimum. Most people do not consume nearly enough green leafy vegetables to reach that level.
@aaronevens48577 жыл бұрын
Scott Allen 100% correct. Makes you doubt the info when he's wrong about something that very obvious if you look at most diets...
@decathlete20007 жыл бұрын
from where did this 4700mg- 6000mg potassium per day come from?
@XRinger7 жыл бұрын
I used google "What is the recommended daily intake of potassium?" and got 4.7 grams, which is actually 4,700 mgs :) I think you wouldn't need 6,000 mgs, unless you were deficient.

interesting, when I'm on my elliptical, I need to pee at least 4-5 times within a 30-40 min routine. What's more, I have trouble, both with sodium bloat and water retention, as well as, dehydration resulting in a low electrolyte balance. This electrolyte imbalance causes extremely painful muscle cramps, spasms and involuntary flexion of certain muscles -- like my thumb and forefinger randomly, and quite painfully, flexing like I'm pinching something -- since I'm on a reduced-calorie, Keto diet, I'm finding it really hard to maintain a good balance of sodium and other electrolytes causing me to be in either an upper or lower extream.

Isotonic is a good thing, it means, chemically that a fluid has the same osmotic pressure as another. In human biology, it would mean the same, but specifically compared to that of normal human blood. Water will pass through a semipermeable membrane (like in your cells) from a lower concentration of solute, to a higher (known as osmosis). In the body that means if you have to much water (your blood is hypo-tonic), the water will pass into the cells causing them to expand like a balloon, the opposite is hyper-tonic, to much solute in the blood, this causes the water from the cells to move to dilute the blood, desiccating them. It's not just sodium that can make a solution (such as blood), isotonic, hypertonic, or hypotonic. Anything water soluble will change the osmotic pressure. Isotonic is the ideal for blood, which is why they make IVs, eye drops, nasal sprays etc isotonic, so as not to throw off the balance. Introducing a non-isotonic fluid to the blood and mucous membranes can be painful

You need sodium literally. If you don’t have sodium and you drink water, you will dry out. That’s why they say drink water but you don’t have any sodium. As a kid I ate so much sodium foods and my skin was the best.

Every time I eat just a little sodium my face gets puffy and bloated, it really throws me off my day. I heard cold ice water and cream of tartar helps with it, I tried both methods. The ice water method does nothing for me and when I take the cream of tartar I have to take an access amount to get my face back to its normal stage everyday. About (100-400 grams) which causes me to flush out the waste almost like diarrhea not by urinating. Ive tried eating less calories and even getting more potassium from foods and even supplements & vitamins, water pills, still no change. Even when I drank a gallon of water a day I still retain all the water in my face whether I am hydrated or dehydrated. when I was a younger kid but the face swelling was never a problem. If I eat the same food and the same amount as others they don’t gain any weight but I gain about 5-10 pounds overnight. I am 17 years old and it doesn’t matter if I eat healthy or unhealthy the salt causes my face to bloat and puff even if I have a tiny bit of salt. I am rarely hungry, I can go hours without eating and eat very little calories some days and feel perfectly fine. I don’t know if I need to lose any weight. I’m about 160 pounds 20% body fat with some amount of muscle mass. Please help I don’t know what the cause is and would like to get issue taken care of as soon as possible this is not normal I am very frustrated 🙏
