Water Sloshing In Blower--TOYOTA TUNDRA +Water On Floor FAST FIX

My 2004 Tundra was getting water into the HVAC fan box after a couple days of rain. Here's some footage from 2 years ago of how I remedied it. CONFIRMED FIX.

The clip leak right above that air intake seemed to be my issue... but it continues I will seal this up too! Good video thanks!

I've got a couple Tacomas (99 & 04) that have what looks like the same fan. I've had to clean leaves and debris out of them a couple times (rarely) and it sure is nice that it drops down so easy like that, only 3 screws. I haven't noticed water there yet, but if I do I'll try your method for a fix. I did have some water come through the top of the windshield once (only a few months ago), but I think I fixed it with some flowable silicone. At least I haven't noticed it leaking again yet, but we'll see.

Yeah definitely sweet how easy that fan drops out of them! It's funny, it's always the blower fans that are easiest to get to are the ones that don't fail as much

My neighbor had me check out his car when he noticed water leaking on the passenger side floor. Turned out to be a plugged drain hose on the AC evaporator box.

Yeah I would have to say that is usually the most common reason for water getting on the floor that I see at work. That and leaking sunroof drains.

I had the same problem in my Tundra and it was caused by the plastic clip that holds the cowel cover on. The seal on the clip goes bad. Replaced the clips and the leak is gone. If you take the blower out and look up you can see the white clip hanging down.

@@jakebaynham5075 I got mine at the Toyota dealership. I had a 2001 Tundra. Another option would be to remove the cowel and use a sealant on the clips but that could break the cowel next time you remove it. The clips are not that expensive.

It’s the plastic screw inserts that hold the cowl vent over top of the blower intake.wrong repair.that doesn’t hold the water out it only masks it.by the way your engine bay is filthy how can you treat a vehicle like that
