Really glad to have found your channel. I loved many things about the video - clear concise narration, the way you've demonstrated the visual focal point and rule of thirds, showing the demo in real time, and this style with crisp pen containing free flowing watercolour is always nice. Also a fan of partially filled watercolour paintings, where elements are left empty like the arm here. Your video quality something we'll aspire to :)

you dont have to throw away the brushes after using the masking fluid if you just soak the brush with soap before using it.

in this video he says that for the rubber fluid he uses some old brush he doesn't care much about, because after this work he will need to discard the brush, throw it away

What colours should I buy

Heath Cauchi he listed pthalo blue, Prussian blue, alizern crimson... I'm sure there are a few more in this piece. But if youre asking a more general question, like how to select colors for a foundational pallet, remember your color wheel... Primaries make secondaries etc.

Tbh I didn't look at the vocal point at first. I see his hair then the background. Vocal point = last 😂
