It said stone paper in the video description under the video. I'm not familiar with that though.

I would like to know more information regarding the stone paper that comes in sheets also. Hopefully Lena can provide this information.
@lenagemze662Ай бұрын
Thank you Paul. As written below the paper is stonepaper. I buy it in sheets from Germany. It is very difficult to handle and it makes dents very often even before I receive it. And I have to store it horizontally. You can read more right under the video.

My thoughts also. I've wondered about the texture of the paper with so much water being used.
@lenagemze662Ай бұрын
The stonepaper is very smooth and it takes long time to dry. But it's a good idea also to show the painting after it has dried. Thank you for the idea.

What is comparable to Stone paper? #140 or #300lb hot press or cold press? Love your work. Love your birds.

Dear Julie. Thank you! It might be cardboard or Yupo paper-
@nanetteatienza4297Ай бұрын
Lovely outcome. May I know what you applied on the paper prior to watercolor?
@lenagemze6624 күн бұрын
Thank you Nanette. I apply water which I add a little black watercolour paint. I could use clean water, but then I would not be able to se where the water is and where there is only paper. I always leave a stripe without water.
@margaretprice4533Ай бұрын
Love your videos! Do you have a preference--Stone paper or Cold Press watercolor paper?
@lenagemze6624 күн бұрын
Thank you Margaret! No my whole life I've been experimenting with everything, and the last many years with paper. I love the magic in paper. Stone paper, cardboard 580 or 700 gr. cold or hot pressed watercolour paper 300 - 625 gr. Yupo paper, cellulose paper - just give me a piece of paper, and I'll try it out!!!!
@TheKatsheАй бұрын
If I’m not mistaken this paper is similar to Yupo paper…not sure how you would preserve a watercolor painting on this paper. I feel like it would not last in the humid weather unless there would be a way to seal it…. I have done a watercolor on yupo but it can be rinsed off and also it u accidentally touch it the paint can lift off. Maybe this stone paper is better? Beautiful painting, so pretty😁
@lenagemze6624 күн бұрын
Thank you for writing me. Yes stone paper can almost always be rinsed off! I spray it about 5 layers of fixative for watercolour paintings.

2 Days ago i was thinking its a long time i see a video from you here.😊 Now im very happy. 40 years ago i start painting in watercollours ánd did it for 6 years. Than i go to a Art school and since that time i work whit acryl and different technicks. 1 year ago i saw a video from youre here and you touch my Art heart. I missed to work whit watercollour so i make a fe tiny works.But i want to paint bigger what i did 35 years ago. 2 of this old big paintings hangs in my house and i make them on the way how you do it. I put the paint straight out of the tubes on the wet paper and spray water for to let them flow. I never saw that before why there was no KZbin ore internet,i did it intuitief.I like them still very much. If i see youre video i miss to work like that. First new paint i must buy the old ones i trow it,ánd blocks is not good for this technic. Thank you ver much for the beautifull video what inspires me again. Only 1 question....what kind of board you do youre paper stick on...? Greetings from Holland
@lenagemze662Ай бұрын
What a Wonderful and interesting story!! The boards differs. But mostly I use thin plywood - here in Denmark we call it easten board.I guess because they were imported from the east in the beginning.
@nelart1Ай бұрын
@@lenagemze662 Thank you Ĺena for youre kind words. I will looke and try plywood to. I have a board but is to heavy. I still waiting on my paint that the post must bring and big water collor paper. Now i make small ones and enyoy it 😄

I always get so excited when i see your name comes up! AND - how do you keep your clothes and working area so clean?!?
@lenagemze662Ай бұрын
Thank you. I live in a very small place, and I use the table for eating, having guests, carpeting etc. My floor is made of laminat, because it does not take the colour in. Regarding my clothes: I just wash it, and the watercolours go off. I never use acrylic colours.
