Brilliant adaptation from song to scenes of this immortal film. Anyone with heart will truly appreciate the effort.

America got jipped when they didn't use their song for the movie. Art's song is no comparison to America's. This video is something I've wanted to see for a long time. Thank you :)

Thank you for creating this. I like both this and Bright Eyes, for different reasons. Vale to Richard Adams today. May he rest in eternal peace in a natural setting, with rabbits all around him :)

Brings back great memories. Thanks for posting. I need to buy this album by the 1970's group: AMERICA. I wonder if Itunes has it available.

Such a hopeful song. It captures the essence of the book. I HATED the song by Art Garfunkel they used ( with no offense to Art, but it was just dropped in there with no real reference. My favorite book! The move? not so much!

Nice tune but I can see why they didn't use it. Too cheerful.

I herd the song cause im a fan of America and thought it would be perfect for a cartoon movie. The Last Unicorn is more well know then this movie and they did that soundtrack.

@92054moose Totally agree. I heard a guy (I forget which band he was in) on TV not so long ago describing advanced chords as 'self-indulgent' and proclaiming proudly that he never uses them. Consequently, the band's songs were banal and predictable, unlike those of brilliant songwriters like Gerry Beckley.

I always thought this was far superior to 'Bright Eyes'.

@jbrisby I am here because I do not believe that the song is a piece of crap. I like it, and as stated in my first comment, this is a video I've always wanted to see. I'd appreciate if you'd leave these comments alone now, for the sake of those who like this song.

Don't get me wrong, this is a nice song but I think it's a little too cheerful for Watership Down XD Shame they didn't use it in the TV Series though; it would have suited it :)

@NormbrettaMod I thought the lyrics to 'Bright Eyes' were very corny.

Cant see why they replaced it with Arts song. This would be far more fitting

Is it just me, or does America sound more like Barclay James Harvest circa 1972 here.

Unfortunately the emphasis on melody of a song has taken the back seat to a simple beat. When I listen to songs like these it reminds me of how low much of the music has sunken to in the past few decades. This song was produced by George Martin of Beatles fame. America had the honor of working with him on several albums. In this song you can hear the beautiful arrangement by Martin & some of the best harmonies in the business by Gerry Beckley, Dewey Burnell, & Dan Peak of America.

The song is ok, and movie editing was great but really don't go much on the singer.

@Nightmaricvision No way. This song is a piece of crap. "Watership Down, gather around, there's a story to be told, it's for the young and the old"? It sounds like a Saturday Night Live spoof of deliberately awful theme songs. If you actually prefer it to "Bright Eyes" your brain is melting.
