Das Problem sind meistens nicht die Mechaniker. Bin Selber Mechaniker, und arbeite privat auch gerne Sauber und Ordentlich, dafür halt etwas langsamer. Bei einer Werkstatt geht immer alles nur ums Geld. Da lässt Qualität nach, so wie in jedem Geschäft heutzutage. 2 Stunden Zeit für eine große Inspektion und man soll nach 1 Stunde fertig sein :) Traurig aber leider Realität

Genau so muss das sein. Ich bin kein Mechaniker aber jedesmal wenn ich Mechaniker sehe denen das Auto scheiß egal ist krieg ich die Krise. Egal was man macht. Wenn man mit Sachen von fremden arbeitet sollte man vernünftig damit umgehen. Habe in der Umgebung noch nie so einen Mechaniker gesehen. Super immer weiter so ! Die die ich kenne sehen es auch völlig normal an wenn sie sich gegen das Auto lehnen, mit den Schrauben schlampig umgehen, etwas verlieren etc... Das ist leider das mindset vieler grobmotorischen Mechaniker.

I like the care you take after everything's finally stopped dripping. Way better than the last guy that changed my Camry's oil. Damn oil filter fell off the car after I got to work and I had zero oil left in engine. The guy had the audacity to tell me to just drive it back and it'll be fine. Luckily engine seems to be ok still.

My guess is that if you have the money to own one of these, you have the money to pay for whichever poor soul does the labour. I doubt mechanical convenience was on Mercedes' bucket list.

Mercedes engineers sometimes overthink some of their vehicle designs ,but then again they have their reasons, I own o e of these and I'm a mechanic AND I hate when it's time to change the oil on the damn thing too,lol

Perfect work! But you should use exhaust ventilation when running the engine inside the workshop. Safety neglection is unacceptable. Exhaust gases are dangerous for your life!

wow, you went through trouble to extract that one cup of oil from the oil cooler pipes, I hope that the owner appreciated your efforts handsomely, the other trick was you could have asked him to bring the car in with hot engine this way the oil cooler thermostat would have been kept open and you could pull the entire oil from the central plug.

Nice, and very clean. To be honest on how its built, I hate how much tubing is on this. I mean look at the oil filter under the hood, who in their bright mind thought it was a good idea to put two tubes over that? I know that the GM V8s oil filters are located under the vehicle along with the oil drain and easy to access.

very good job and video. thanks for sharing. only thing I can say, at the last part cleaning the oil filter cab with aerosol is only mistake you made:( the reason is the left over aerosol inside the cab will eventually contact with the oil later on. as you know aerosol will dissolve the oil. I know its not a big amount of aerosol but just letting you know.

that number of bolts holding the bottom engine cover would be half in a few years. most outside specialist would not give a shit and replace it with cable ties. definitely makes installation faster and if u own a car like this, majority of the owners don't even know how to open the bonnet whatelse bend under.

Klasse Viedeo. Vielen Dank. Aber kurze Frage: bei 23:45 sieht es so aus, als ob du den Ölfilterdeckel mit Bremsenreiniger ausreinigst. Bei 24:35 an willst du den neuen Dichtring einschmieren - dabei benutzt du quasi den Bremsenreiniger, der sich noch im Ölfilterdeckel befindet, nachdem du ihn ausgespült hattest. Sofern ich richtig bin, sollte der neue Dichtring mit etwas Öl eingeschmiert werden, um zu verhindern, dass der Dichtring beim eindrehen ins Gehäuse verrutscht oder gar reißt. Ich denke Bremsenreiniger ist alles andere als schmierend und sollte die Gefahr des Reißens bzw. das Verrutschen des Dichtrings beim Einsetzen erhöhen. Korrigiert mich, wenn ich falsch liege :)

Was eigentlich auch gemacht werden sollte ist, dass einölen der Dichtung vor dem einsetzen auf den Filterdeckel. Manche machen es, manche lassen es sein - hab schlechte Erfahrungen damit gemacht Trotzdem top Video
