@WVFRM Podcast, I did the math for everyone's draft pick totals: David: $5,003 Andrew: $236,245 ($4,245 without the Porsche) Marques: $36,310 ($3,810 without the Fiat) (all software is counted as the cost for one year, price specs on how much a tech device cost may vary (ie how much storage on an iPhone), and some of the discontinued items I had to just give a rough estimate based on what they sell for like new nowadays). The EDC draft idea is fun, y'all should take it a step further and have 5 people volunteer and then commit to their drafts for 3 weeks. Make it super competitive with Snake Draft and each person needs one item from each category. Could do Phone, Laptop, Audio, Camera, Backpack, Music Service, Mouse, Keyboard, Watch, Wallet & Car (if possible).

I think it could be expanded into a full competition where they're required to travel somewhere and do some sort of task (like, driving to a place to record a short video, then edit it on their chosen laptop). And keeping in the spirit of competition, there should be semi-duds. Like a non-smartphone phone, or a five-year-old student edition Chromebook that they got from an e-waste pile.

Actually the HP dragonfly Chromebook may not be a scam. Their display is 5400 nits, which is INSANE. So for someone who works outside a lot and doesn't need a powerful laptop, that might be actually a viable choice.

WVFRM gang for me has become something akin to a 90s or 2000s sitcom cast. A group of friends each of whom bring something different to the table. Marques and Andrew being the straight shooters, David with his knowledge of photography and quirks, Ellis with his audiophilia and Adam adding a bit of chaos too. And yes, sometimes we get guest and crossover episodes as well.

1:05:57 The coolest backpack’s I know about are from Aer, a company from SF. All their packs use great materials, are built for tech, look incredible, and are very comfortable. Highly recommend and there are many great items within your budget. I have the city pack and tech pack and love them both. The duffel pack is also awesome if you like a large compartment for some reason. I get compliments all the time.

David bringing up the Hasselblad Flextight brought me right back to college. In our print/scan lab we had a Flextight X5 and a Nikon CoolScan 5000 and a bunch of Epson Perfection V700's. I miss those days of shooting on a Hasselblad 503 and scanning slide film on the Flextight X5. Weird flex, I know.

For things you recommend that you cannot buy anymore. BOSE FRAMES. BETTER BATTERY AND SOUND than any other wearable glasses device, with the benefit of not having a Facebook camera on them. Gen 2's look worse than Gen 1's but actually last, Gen 1 Bose frames are some of the best looking tech products ever made in my opinion but break after a couple months because of a design flaw with a ribbon cable. They are matte smokey transparent plastic with gold accents inside, so when the sunlight hits them you can see gold wiring and accents through them. Stunning. The gen 1 frames also leak sound way less than the Gen 2 frames.
