I was asked to build a boat very similar with diesel engine's for a guy that was an abalone diver poacher actually he was dripping with cash i had to take a holiday overseas to avoid him for a while
@vehiculemagazineАй бұрын
very cool story can you tell us more about the abalone poaching?
@NoelzsazsaАй бұрын
@vehiculemagazine not the actual poaching side because they were so good that I can't tell anyone some of the details when they started to ask for the 55 ft boat I knew people were going to find out about the construction and it would not have ended well if they gave me money and near completion the police came and took it they didn't care about the law in any way the supplier of materials were giving information to the police when my father built boats for them and other's they were not stupid in some ways some of the best seamen I've seen in many ways they knew exactly what they wanted I even had a girlfriend that worked at a place that made bullet proof vest they wanted some kind of bulletproof light weight material to protect them and the running gear and fuel labour the option's we talked over I thought were just talk like imagine if and one day they came over with a lot of cash and said can we start drafting the plan's today I want to have this in the water next year at that moment I was scrambling for an answer to give them I didn't want to say no they had been testing me to see if our facilities we equipped for the build for months talking to me about bigger boats and fuel labours and drive line's every facit u could think of they had digital hand held scanning devices that they bought from an American military guy that could scan any radios and even intercept digital phone calls so can you imagine the boat it even had the most genius camoflauge paint to distort the length and size

Shipments of one metric ton of coke, by speedboat originating from the Bahamas, is unheard of in 1984.

@teymourbayat826611 күн бұрын
@vehiculemagazine In the early 80's (Carlos Lehder/Norman Cay era) a two or three hundred kg load was a major shipment, a 1000 kg transfer in one go wasn't common until the late 90's, and not on the Bahamas route which was burnt by that time, and certainly not by "Cigarette" type powerboats. The age of containers loads had begun.
