What an incredible songwriter gone too soon. It's been 39 years since you left us Harry but you live on in our hearts.

I don't know why, but I didn't know Harry Chapin was dead. Love his music.

I was fortunate enough to see Harry Chapin on April 6, 1979 in the Gold Dome at Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana. A couple years and a couple months later he was gone......

@jdscott6934 Yeah I was also really lucky to have a good buddy in the Air Force who was from Houston which was less a 4 hour drive from our base. He took me down there twice for the weekend to this great little bar which I can't recall the name. The first trip got us front table seats and $2 pitchers of Lone Star or Pearl Beer to catch Stevie Ray Vaughn. Unbelievable performance and talent by another great guy who left us way too soon! The next trip we made found us in the same seats since my buddy had house management connections(if you ain't the guy make damn sure you know the guy that is). Lita Ford and Joan Jett with the rest of the Runaways warmed up for Joey Ramone and The Ramones.
