Tom Synder learned something that day, honor you word to a country boy or you will pay. Waylon Jennings on his worst day was better than Tom Synder on his very, very, very best. Dr. Laura was a flash in the pan. Yes, a lot of people were talking about her back then because she was controversial, but she had no substance and her fame has plummeted to almost nothing, She has a show on Satellite radio that hardly anyone listens to and you hear very little about her these days. Waylon on the other hand was always a legend. He was a legend back then and today, all these years after his death, he's still a legend. Glad he walked out and didn't accept the disrespectful way he was treated.

There's a lot of factors to consider -- Waylon had health problems at that time and died a few years later, he once had a cocaine addiction which messes up the mind -- he was likely in no shape to do an interview anyway. And his walking off gave Snyder and Waylon more publicity than they would have had otherwise! In show business, when a program gets complaints, it means one thing -- people are watching!

Used to watch snyder a little and usually enjoyed it, mainly because he did bring on some folks that were wayyyy the hell off center. Then he partnered up with that sex therapist/author what's her name and that along with a few other things blew the show. Tanned, freeze-dried hair, uber- money-cool California smartass that could only really exist at night in air conditioned studio vaults. Btw. Snorted coke with Waylon once at a truck stop down at the 144 on I55 in mississippi, since burned down. Not Tom, me. Both were cool in their own way, just from different space/time continuums.
