Here's a tip about the cord concealer or any product that comes with it's own sticky backing. DON"T stick them to the wall if you live in an apartment. When you later remove them, they will peel the paint and more off the wall. My tip is to buy 3M Command strips, place them on the sticky side of the cord concealer, and then stick it to the wall. That way, when the time comes for you to move, the 3M strips are truly awesome at not damaging the paint when you remove them.
@ButterfingerBB3 жыл бұрын
Excellent tip. Thanks.

YES!! This happened to me recently! I used this SAME technique and I struggled getting that cord concealer off the wall without ripping the paint off. I had to patch it up. Next time I’ll try the Command Strips, because the tape on the back of the cord concealer definitely isn’t renter friendly.

I mount TVs for a living and this will work for certain tvs size and weight. Just because the mount is graded for 55" tv doesn't mean it works for all 55. Some old school flat tvs are way heavier than newer tvs. Also this method is only for that specific mount it's designed to work that way please don't do this with any tv mount.
@donnadayle3762 Жыл бұрын
chino...true! that type of material will not hold weight of any kind. it's only for hiding cords. glad you pointed that out!

YES!! This is the video I needed to help me mount my tv. I bought the same mounting kit and cord concealer kit, both from Amazon. The mounting process is very detailed but so worth it and my room looks so much better withy tv mounted. Thanks for the great video! TIP: If you have something somewhat bulky that is connected to the back of your tv like a firestick that you connect through an HDMI port, you may either have to get some sort of connector to hook it into so that it doesn’t have to be plugged directly into the back of the tv. If that option doesn’t work for you, you may need to try another wall mounting system. I have a Roku sensor that normally sat on my dresser beside my tv. To keep it from just dangling in the air, I went to a craft store and got some Velcro and put one strip on the side of the tv and put the other strip on the bottom of the Roku sensor to keep it in place and it’s still pretty discreet.
