Because would you really want to see your starting QB who you drafted 1st overall throw that many picks? Also remember that this is the same Bill Parcells who mentored Bill Belicheck and Sean Payton so some of the things he did as a coach when it came to the QB position must’ve work when it came to Payton and Belicheck because both of them helped develop future Hall of Fame QBs in Drew Brees and Tom Brady.

If you're going to be THAT hypothetical, then imagine the AFC East with Peyton Manning on the Jets, Tom Brady on the Patriots, Eli Manning on the Bills and Aaron Rogers on the Dolphins. That would have been a long reign of AFC East domination. The years that Brady didn't win would be split up with the Manning brothers and Aaron Rogers.

One can never question the greatness of Parcells, the man made great players hall of famers, good players great, and avg-below avg good players. The psychology game he brought to the table was unmatched, you knew what he was going to do going in to a game, for Parcells it was all about his team out willing yours in the end, and more often than not, that's how it ended up. What's funny is Winston said (paraphrasing) "all I have to do is get rid of the interceptions and keep the rest". This was after 4 years in the NFL, and the man still didn't understand that protecting the football meant fewer big plays, fewer yards and fewer touchdowns, than playing boom-or-bust football. Can't get rid of the risk without losing some of the reward.
