I didn't realize how mentally strong I am until recently. I realize now that being able to process my emotions and not supress them has helped tremendously (thanks mom). I've never wanted anyone I've dated to come back after breaking/getting broken up with. I started hitting the gym about 10 months after she broke up with me for my own health; it's been about 14 months at this point and I could not imagine letting that yo-yo back into my life. I've met a couple sweet girls since her, and quite frankly I had ZERO clue how shitty she was treating me until I got treated properly. I made myself better for me and to my suprise now I could care less about women. IMO when someone comes along they should be a compliment to my life, not my entire existence. It seems that losing 50lbs and having the confidence of an unchecked state trooper gets me quite a few stares and I have even been blatantly asked out twice recently with zero required effort on my part, which has never happened. Life is okay.

wishing someone the best isn't *always* necessary though, it depends on how things went down. if said person was disrespectful on their way out, i will ghost them completely and never talk to them ever again. no ifs ands or buts. that goes both ways too, men and women. disrespect should never be tolerated and wishing them the best after that is weird and you should use that as motivation to better yourself as well as cutting contact with them completely forever. also going to the gym isn't a bad thing either, it's men that go to the gym in hopes their ex would come back and make corny instagram/tik tok content projecting their situation that's the problem.

After watching this video, I realized a trick you can use is that you should treat your emotions as a currency and withhold yourself from any random girl you meet. That way if you feel like she's hot, and you feel attracted to her. You won't emotionally invest her because you realize it'll cause unnecessary pain and distress And you'll invest your emotion into something that'll actually pay you back better Just by understanding this, i feel like ive learned a new technique and I can use this in all areas of life

Jesus Christ, I like your views and even agree with them, but the “wish her the best in life” part as much as I agree with your overall point, good lord is that going to be hard as all hell to achieve ngl. Long story short was together for years she abruptly didn’t talk to me for a month straight In person or online, I go on Facebook randomly one day and see she’s engaged to her “friend” who she’s still engaged to years later as I type this, i definitely still hold a lot of resentment and anger towards the both of them that I don’t really know how to process because it genuinely boils my blood thinking about him specifically with her and all the lies over the years. I can’t bring myself to want the best for him because I want to hurt him permanently or atleast enough to make him afraid for the rest of his life, idk maybe I’m a pos but I hate his guts and can’t bring myself to want anything but misery for him and the rest of his life.

Its mostly has to do with time, it takes time to get over someone. I don't really agree with the hatred point of view, I think channeling that anger to better yourself is useful, the forgiveness part comes later. It took me awhile to even forgive, but most men and women need time alone to process those emotions but if they use those negative emotions to push themselves in something rather than contacting that individual, I think its a good thing. Forgiveness takes alot of strength, you can't expect someone to forgive easily and wish someone "well". That comes with time. I personally did it, because of my faith. I still have alot disdain for that person, I know its wrong, but the your instincts don't forget. Doesn't matter how much you lie to yourself thinking its okay.

Based on things she has said it feels like she needs a lot of time to decide on someone, she doesn't want to get hurt so she pushes guys away that try to get close to her. You said “getting her never feels as good as wanting her but not having her” this means you have a fantasy about what being in a relationship is supposed to be like rather than just accepting the reality. That’s why you devalued her or the relationship. I notice in a lot of videos you describe being “obsessed” with a woman a lot this isn’t healthy. Look into attachment styles. Also this is not always the experience for everybody so you telling guys that your experience is the norm is basically coping. There’s plenty of couples out there that will tell you they are each others favorite person to hang out with over their friends and even family and they don’t see their relationship as boring or passion-less like you did. I think it’s just hard for most teenagers to have that type of mature relationship because usually you’re not adding that much value to each other’s lives since you’re so underdeveloped. It’s not as deep of a connection as older love. Especially when it comes to most modern day relationships.

Weight lifting is a great hobby, it makes you healthier, stronger, makes you feel better and will distract you long enough to forget about your ex completely.
