Sony won't go bankrupt. Not from any sort of boycott of their entertainment products. They have their hands in all kinds of sectors, from electronics to finances to healthcare to satellite communication and beyond. Hell, their biggest sector is finances. Sony has such great investments in other fields, that losing money on entertainment might even be worthwhile (at least for now) if it means DEI dollars can benefit their remaining branches. That said, I hope that it gets so costly that they pull the plug on their entertainment branch. Sony would do it with little regret or sentimentality, if they thought it no longer benefited them.

Lots of great handheld emulators around. Gamebox, PS2 and more. You can upscale many old games to 1080x1920 resolution even. No need to buy the new woke games when you can use old games that you already bought. RG556, Odin 2, Retroid Pocket 4 Pro and others.

The only obstacle with upping the resolution is the miscalculated resolution where you would have blurry images. That means if you are going to have a 1080 x 1920 display, the smallest you can have would be 108 x 192.

Did you know that Warner Bros owned Atari from the late 1970s (circa 1977/1978) until just after the original videogame industry crash in 1983? Of course, the videogame industry wasn't as big as it is now. The companies were also NOT capable of losing hundreds of millions and billions like they are now. I wonder how long before some of these companies like Capcom, Square, and Konami join Atari as an IP brand instead of viable publishers.

Truly amazing that in a game where they could put in any version of any character in the entire dcu, they screw it up multiple times in a row. Countless possible interactions, power sets, different sides of characters, community interactions like letting the community choose which char they wanted of several, tons of easy potential. The game could have still been utter crap, but if they had released fun new villain characters based off popularity like Deathstroke, red hood, non stupid joker, batman who laughs, it could have at least been an acceptable guilty pleasure that didn't feel like they actively hate the fans, the properties, the legacies, and money

I hate to the be that 🤓 guy, but I think that last good titles WB Games dished out of publishing was the remakes of the Hitman Series _(2018-19)_ and oddly enough those are well received, even meme worthy to a point. I don't see anymore of that series getting a continuation, but whatever. I'm too busy being enjoying games from 10 years in the past that I missed out on. Currently playing Dying Light _(2015)_ it's very fun, wish more FPS games innovated off this style.

The AAA gaming industry is in a huge crisis of their own creation. In the PS1 and PS2 era, game development and turnaround was fast, and development was cheap. It seemed that very week, without fail, new games would come out. Now, a lot of them were actual hot garbage, but the volume was able to make up for any shortcomings in that regard. It didn't take 7 to 10 literal years for a game to come out. That's longer than some consoles entire lifecycles. What audience is excited for your game if they're an entirely different person by the time they actually get to play it from the time they heard about it? Entire IPs and brands are collapsing under the intense greed of these corporations, not realizing they're slowly engorging themselves to the point of bursting. Only children raised by WB parents are going to give a flying F about WB properties since the space between releases and content is so long and if the game or content is a disastrous flop then it's that much worse of a time and money sink.

Bloody shame since i liked mad max and shadow of war, but oh well. 1:08 Pretty much, though i personally won't touch another gacha with a 10-foot pole, just a waste of time when those shut down, there's also indies. I got enough old games, indies etc to last me a decade, recently found out Sengoku Basara 4's english patch that translates menu is pretty much complete. AAA and AA can crash and burn for all i care, i'm not buying another "big" game until this part of industry is fixed one way or another. Gaming was already "inclusive", there was just trashtalking which is such a non-problem, then these specimen forced their way in, their fault i stopped being "tolerant" and "open minded".
