@@cousinevey yes thank you I realize people are more important than structures. But those aren't just structures to people they are people's homes, their memories. My grandfather built our cabin mostly by hand with very few power tools and no heavy equipment. He dug the foundation by hand in the extremely hard ground that is under the soil. There are still toys from the 1940s and 50s from when my dad and aunt were kids up there. It's like a time capsule my family decided to preserve. If it was just some cheap A frame we bought to Air BNB it wouldn't make me as sad .

I live in Southern California,Riverside to be exact ,it hasn’t been under 100 degrees in almost two weeks now the fire they’re showing I believe is in Highlsnd about 20 or so miles from me we’ve had multiple fires here lately ,it’s been absolutely horrific ,my heart goes out to the victims of ryes fires and our animal individuals who may have been abandoned,they have no voice of their own and or homeless communities as well ,which has become a very big problem here in California and in my area of Riverside.

@@underthetornado The majority of California wildfires (well over 7000 a year) are human caused (by stupidity & carelessness) but only 10 - 15 % are intentional. In 2021 (for example) 49% of wildfires on USFS land in California were caused by lightning strikes. Point is - don't go around saying it's the homeless people. California is a huge state with very diverse ecosystems, terrain, etc.. Tiresome to constantly hear comments by people who "know" California only via the media, ie; Hollywood and right wing outlets with f'd up / politically motivated attitudes.
