anyone have any experience using the WD MyPassport Ultra as an external harddrive/server, on a RaspPi4??? theres the install for Windows, and Mac.... but unsure if theres anything special ill need to do setting up the Passport drive, OR installing on the Pi (running OS and boot from SD, not USB). I dont really have any desire to use the Passport as a boot drive, and have it NECESSARY for running the Pi.... rather i just want to use it as an air-gapped external SSD for storage of pics, vids, etc. built up on several cell phones. As well as other devices and USB storage, as I have a lot of data from and for a lot of research that I need to have consolidated and secure from wireless/internet access (unless I choose to connect for something specific, but normally will be air-gapped). I too faced same issue: got stuck at 18% .But finally its solved. I ->removed external disk ->restarted the laptop ->connect harddisk ->clicked "install discovery"and it got fixed . It helped me. Try it ..
