Actually, Porsche 911s are beasts on race tracks as well. Just look at the current GT2 RS or GT3 RS. Lamborghini is also good on race tracks like the new aventador SVJ, but then again, this might be because Lamborghini is owned by Audi/VW

MK4! The best platform VW ever made!!! Hands down or Hands Up. VW does not do these tests on new VW because they totally break break apart. I just made that last half up, but I would like to see a video of the new VW do these tests.

I use Sixt rental cars a lot for my employer in Germany. I can tell from my own experience that the quality of 2017 and 2016 models (post-dieselgate) is less than that of earlier models. Cheaper materials, like the buttons on the steering wheel, and more technical electrical faults. For instance; i lock my rental car, 2017 VW Golf hatchback. Come back 15 minutes later, all the windows are down. Luckily this happened in the driveway as i visited my parents. On a 2016 Sportsvan the driver's window wouldn't close anymore. The multimedia screen remained black in a 2016 Golf Variant 2.0 TDI. After three times locking the car, unlocking and starting it, suddenly the screen functioned again. I had to go 10 metres uphill in reverse at the crowded hotel parking. I did this carefully. The clutch smelled like crazy, even though i barely touched the gas pedal. Never had that in any other brand tbh. The ride and handling are great though. Very comfortable, yet firm, as are the seats. The stereo is alright, but nothing comes close to the JBL system in a 2016 Citroën Grand Picasso Exclusive. Not even the one i had in a 2017 Merc E-Class Estate.
